Built over 300 years ago, "The Old Salt House" is situated in Port Launay in the department of Finistère in Brittany. An idyllic location, the property is nestled on the banks of the river L'Aulne with outstanding and uninterrupted views over the countryside.
 
The Nantes-Brest Canal runs in front of the property, providing opportunities for cycling, walking, fishing and sailing. Restaurants, bakery and bars are 3 minutes walk. Situated close to picturesque Châteaulin (hypermarket, bars/restaurants etc), National Parc Armorique and the many beautiful beaches on the bay of Douarnenez.

"The Old Salt House" has been given 3 Keys by Clé Vacances.

All the bedrooms have been furnished to the highest standards. Beautiful Linen and accessories furnish the rooms making it the perfect sanctuary for those wishing to be lost in Heaven!

Located on the first floor of the property, this bedroom has a double bed with a high quality mattress and memorex foam mattress topper, two comfy chairs and also a desk area.  Decorated and furnished to a high standard to give you the utmost comfort.
 
New 22" flat screen television with european satellite channels, tea and coffee making facilities and the use of the complimentary fridge stocked with wines, beer and water.
 
The en-suite shower room is equipped with WC, basin, large shower and fabulous Egyptian cotton towels. 
 
This room is forward facing with views over the river Aulne.

The Old Salt House is situated on the riverside in Port Launay, Finistère, Brittany.

Bay of Douarnenez

If it's beaches you like, then you can choose one a day for a fortnight and still not have seen them all. The nearest is Pentrez with a 5 kilometre flat sandy beach plus shops and cafes. St-Anne-la-Palud has one bar in the middle of 3km of sand and a Michelin starred restaurant at the southern end.
 
Coast path

If you like the South West Coast path or the Pembrokeshire Coast path in the UK, the coastal paths near Port Launay which equal or surpass their British cousins. Don't miss Pointe de Dinan on the Crozon peninsula.
 
Oceanopolis, Brest

Rated one of the best aquaria in the world, this is a good family day out 30 minutes away.
 
Quimper

The medieval town of Quimper has ancient buildings, including its imposing cathedral, modern shops and a variety of art galleries and museums.

How to get here

Port Launay is located just off the N165.

We are 50 minutes from Brest Airport.  1 hour from Roscoff.  2.5 hours from St Malo.

Chateaulin, 2km from house, has a main line train station, with conections to Brest and Quimper.
