Delightful Country Cottage, sleep up to 6

 A pretty French country cottage with 3 bedrooms, finished in the old style with beams giving it a cozy feeling . Currently being completley refurbished to the highest standard ready for summer 2011, It has all the modern facilities required for a comfortable stay including a barbecue and sunbeds. The garden is laid to lawn with a pool and a table under shade for long leisurely lunches and a veranda with stunning views over the vineyards and ancient abbey where you can relax your days away .  Cots can be provided for children if needed.

Surrounded by vineyards the cottage offers a private space for a tranquil holiday but you can walk to the local bakery or drive (6 and 10 minutes by car) to two bastide towns, which offer night markets, restaurants, cafes and shopping for those who wish for a little more excitement.  Close to Bergerac (40 mins) and Bordeaux (1hr 10 mins) airports.

2 Basse Chapuze is a charming country cottage. It is surrounded by vineyards and has a view to the ancient abbey of St Ferme. Three bedrooms: 1 double bedrooms and 2 twin bedrooms.

• 2 modern bathrooms (one with shower, one with bath ).
• 3 bedrooms, two can be twin or doubles and there is another double.
• kitchen  with a view to the pool and garden.

Outside

The garden is secluded and very pretty with a pool and large table under shade. A tranquil, rustic setting.

About St Ferme in Gironde, Aquitaine

The cottage is within St Ferme with a stunning 1000 year old abbey and a bakers, surrounded by vineyards and beautiful views.  Also close is the bastide town of Monsegur (10 minutes by car) which is small and rustic and has many night markets and little wine fairs etc during the summer with Jazz music in abundance. It has a supermarket, cafes and restaurants, bakers, butchers etc and  two antique shops. Monsegur also has a second hand bookshop and small but elegant cinema, which plays English films through out the summer. If you need a big supermarket, La Reole is only 6 minutes away with a massive Intermarche. la reole also has a fast train to Bordeaux ( 30 mins) which is a stunning city with many museums and other attractions. There is also a supermarket, cafe, florist and newsagent in Pellegrue which is 5 minutes away by car.

The cottage is surround by vineyards so it is very quiet with a few neighbours but no one too close.

The area is wonderful for walking and cycling particularly.

How To Get To St Ferme in Gironde, South West France

The closest airport is Bergerac (Roumanieres) Airport (45 minutes by car), which is served by many low cost flights. Bordeaux (Merignac) Airport is also only one hour  away by car.  There  is a fast train from Bordeaux ( 30 mins)  to la reole which is 6 minutes away by car.

There are TGV rail stations at Libourne and Bordeaux. The nearest train station to the cottage is La reole (which is 6 mins by car). The property is 20 mins away from the A62 autoroute, allowing great accessibility from the whole of the area.
