Holiday Cottage with Private Pool Overlooking the Lot Valley, Aveyron

Neuvic Bas is a pretty stone cottage with private pool in a stunning position facing south overlooking the Lot Valley. Walks from the house enhance the views of the already breathtaking scenery. A short drive from the house will take you to the small towns of Montsalvy and Entraygues-sur-Truyère, both of which have restaurants, cafés and small family-run shops.

Holiday Accommodation at Neuvic Bas

This pretty stone cottage has been charmingly restored. The sitting room has a large fireplace with wood-burning stove, a comfortable sofa and selection of easy chairs. A bookcase with paperbacks and a collection of games and puzzles, are there for your relaxation. The kitchen and adjacent dining area are particularly attractive and extremely well equipped. They are bright and cheerfully appointed, with views across the valley. Outside the sitting room, a terrace under a verandah faces west to the setting sun. Steps lead down to terraces around the swimming pool, which together with a built-in barbeque, offer the perfect atmosphere for outdoor living. A pergola at one end of the terrace is a bonus for those who want to keep out of the sun.

About Enguiales in Aveyron, Midi Pyrenees

Neuvic has both Entraygues and Montsalvy withn 15 minutes by car. Both have a selection of small family-run shops, a bank, post office and restaurants serving a variety of local fare. The hillop Auberge du Fel, a favorite with locals and visitors alike, is a wonderful spot for sunday lunch and has tables outside on the vine-covered terrace. On the next ridge, the tiny hilltop village of Roussy can be seen for miles around with its pretty church being a well known landmark.

How To Get To Enguiales in Aveyron, South West France

The cottage is located about an hour's drive from either Rodez or Aurillac in the department of Aveyron in South West France. Driving time from Calais is approximately 10 hours with stops and from Caen approximately 8 hours. Precise directions and details can be supplied on request.

By rail, trains run from Paris in the North or Toulouse in the South to Rodez or Aurillac where car hire is available.

By air, flights from Stansted to Rodez are daily during July & August and on varying days throughout the rest of the year. Car hire is available at the airport.
