Les Cayrouses is a superb and very spacious family house situated in a peaceful location overlooking the Lot Gorges. It is located 10 minutes by car from both Florentin-la-Capelle and Entraygues-sur-Truyère.

At the front of the house adjacent to the pool is a large terrace with covered pergola, barbeque, garden table and chairs. Discreet outside lighting allows you to swim or to sit outside long into the evening. The large garden is made up of flower beds, rockeries and trees giving shade with a grassed area for children to play.

Les Cayrouses is a spacious and comfortable family house that faces south and east with panoramic views across the dramatic Gorges du Lot. Sleeping 8 in 4 large bedrooms, parties of up to 4 people can rent the house at a reduced rate during the low, mid and high seasons.

The house is furnished to a very high standard with the main feature of the house being the large fully fitted farmhouse kitchen/dining room and spacious and comfortable sitting room with picture window overlooking the Gorges. A large library of books for all ages and a selection of board games are provided for your enjoyment.

About Golinhac in Aveyron, Midi Pyrenees

From the house you can walk, cycle or drive along lanes that climb ever higher through Florentin and Le Nayrac eventually reaching the Aubrac montains some 45 minutes away by car. Here you will have the opportunity to see many varieties of wild flowers and birdlife especially in the Spring and Autumn.

The small local towns of Entraygues, Estaing and Espalion have many attractions throughout the season from family run restaurants, street cafes, markets both during the daytime and in the evening to the sporting facilities for canoeing, tennis, swimming and for golf.

How To Get To Golinhac in Aveyron, South West France

The cottage is located midway between Rodez and Aurillac off the D920 in the department of Aveyron in South West France. Driving time from Calais is approximately 10 hours with stops and from Caen approximately 8 hours.  Precise directions and details can be supplied on request.

By rail, trains run from Paris in the North or Toulouse in the South to Rodez or Aurillac where car hire is available.

By air, flights from Stansted to Rodez are daily during July & August and on varying days throughout the rest of the year. Car hire is available at the airport.
