About Cairanne in Vaucluse, Provence - Cote d'Azur

The property is located in the village of Cairanne, situated in the winegrowing area of Cotes du Rhone - Cairanne is very well known for its high quality AOC wines. It is a great location to use as a base for exploring Provence - with its daily markets, Roman architecture and sites and busy cities such as Avignon and Orange. It is a region renowned for its delicious wines and locally produced food available in the myriad of restaurants in the area - from Michelin starred to simple lunchtime cafes. The coast can be reached within 90 minutes - Palavas les Flots just outside Montpellier, or the Marseille beaches.

Cairanne is 3.5km to Ste Cecile les Vignes, which has a good selection of food shops, a great Saturday market, and numerous restaurants; it is 12km to Vaison la Romaine with its Roman ruins and renowned Tuesday market. Approx 45 mins to Avignon, 1hr to St. Remy and 1hr 20 to Aix en Provence.

How To Get To Cairanne in Vaucluse, South of France and the Riviera

The property is easily reached by air to Montpellier, Marseille, Nimes and Avignon, and by TGV from London to Avignon. It is about 10hrs from Calais on the motorway, 3hr from Nice and 45mins from Avignon.
