Set in private grounds of 3 acres with panoramic views over the picturesque medieval village of Saint Privat des Pres. Features include a large private swimming pool and Broadband/ADSL (with WiFi) internet for those who need to keep in touch.

For a peaceful and relaxing holiday, and with lots of activities and facilities, nothing can beat La Marteille in the Dronne valley. Wildlife is abundant, with deer, red squirrels, and a wide variety of birds; golden oriole, nightingales, green woodpeckers, jays, hoopoes and buzzards.

La Marteille has very comfortable and spacious accommodation. This delightfully converted 450-year old farmhouse retains many original features such as beamed ceilings and exposed stone walls. It comprises:

• 6 bedrooms (4 double and 2 twin)
• 4 bathrooms/showers, each with WC
• 2 comfortable sitting rooms (one with a wood burning stove). Equipped also with a large Sky TV, and CD player, with a large selection of books and board games.
• Fully equipped kitchen (with cooker, dishwasher, washing machine, freezer, refrigerator and microwave oven).

Outside

• A large private swimming pool.
• There is a new children's wooden swing set, and a new outdoor table-tennis table.

About St Privat Des Pres in Dordogne, Aquitaine

La Marteille is within walking distance of Saint Privat-des-Pres, one of the prettiest villages in the Dordogne. The village has a local shop selling fresh bread, vegetables and groceries. A local bar is alongside. A magnificent 12th century church, a Priory, and two museums; One museum is of local village life through the ages and another of model replicas of famous Chateaux and Churches throughout France.
