Our stay at Canal Cottage was a very enjoyable week. The Cottage is very well equipped with all that we need for our stay the bed rooms were very nice and comfortable the lounge we found very relaxing after being out all day. It was lovely to sit out side and have a Barby on a couple of evenings it so peaceful and quit. We found loads of places to visit and restaurants near by. A walk along the canal in the morning is a must. Dave and Viv have put up a map of places to visit which we found very useful having never been to that part of France before. it's our first time having a cottage in France and we will be back next year
Many thanks for a great week

Fantastic property in beautiful location. Peaceful setting, but minutes away from all you need to make up a great holiday. Good restaurants etc.
Everything you could wish for at Canal Cottage. Clean and very comfortable. A real find. We will be back next year.

If what you are looking for in a French Holiday is peace and quiet, Canal Cottage is perfect in so many ways. It is beautifully restored French house, granite built with every mod.con. that you could wish for. Close to truly French villages, good supermarkets in near towns and everywhere fantastic places to eat. The house in surrounded by a large garden and on the banks of the canal. So, fishermen, walkers, shoppers, diners, tourists, it is all here, do enjoy the best of country holidays, away from the crowds and the noise.

The lovely cottage is exactly as described if not better. Secluded and tranquil, yet within easy walking or bicycling distance of the village. I rate this property very highly.

Our second stay at Canal Cottage was just as enjoyable as the first. Clean, comfortable and quiet, yet near to plenty of villages and restaurants.
The quiet area near the canal allowed us to take advantage of the bikes available. Anyone who likes to cycle would find this cottage a great place to stay. Plenty of quiet roads and canal paths to enjoy.
We will be back there again with luck. I would recommend it most highly to anyone.

This is our second stay at canal cottage and we loved it very peaceful, the new bikes are great it's a lovely ride to Rohan along the tow path in the morning. Weather was not great so only one barbecue but there are plenty of places to eat out locally. Thanks Viv and Dave for a lovely cottage and lovely week. Keep up the good work.

Quaint cottage handily situated near to quiet minor road and canal towpath - ideal for cycle rides to & from the village for morning fresh bread!
The cottage was well appointed with a nice, comfortable large lounge containing lots of varied videos to play on the TV/CD recorder/player and a stock of interesting books and magazines that should cater for all tastes. Whilst the kitchen is of modest size, it is tastefully decorated and has all the kit one could reasonably need to prepare a good range of hot & cold meals.
The twin bedroom that we used was very comfortable with superb mattresses that encouraged very little bedtime reading and almost instant sleep! The shower/toilet room is clean & nicely tiled, with lots of hot water for refreshing showers - particularly important after a spirited ride on the excellent included mountain bikes.
Having all facilities on one level was very welcome - especially after a large meal with lots of excellent French red wine! The secluded rear covered patio, with concrete hard-standing, was much appreciated for motorbike parking.
All in all an excellent cottage representing good value accommodation - highly recommended for bikers as the patrons are themselves bikers who have lots of pre-prepared routes just ready to ride

Our stay at canal cottage was a very relaxing and enjoyable two weeks. The cottage was very well equipped with everything you would want and more. The bicycles that were provided were brilliant and made going along the canal towpath to the local town fun and enjoyable. I would recommend a stay at canal cottage to anyone and would stay here again.

This is a wonderful cottage in a fantastic part of Brittany. Thanks Dave and Viv.
The cottage has a spacious garden is extreamly well equipped, classic videos, airy and bright and lovely and quiet! We walked the canal, rode on pedaloes, cycled, picked blackberries, saw 3 otters, bats, fish, wood pigeons, moles and wading birds. Took day trips to Pontivy, Josselin and many other places including Lac de Guerleden!!
Thanks so much!!

Absolutely wonderful cottage. It's amazing to look at the pictures of the hard work that has been put into it over the years, you must be so proud. Unfortunately the weather was not brilliant for us during our stay, but the boys thoroughly enjoyed their fishing trips to the canal all the same! We started to watch a film but 15 minutes into it the screen went blank so no TV all week! Therefore many games of cards had throughout our stay - not to mention the arguments that went with it!
Rohan and Josselin are beautiful places to visit, as is Pontivy. Thank you for a wonderful chilled out week, which is just what we needed after two hectic weeks in Florida a couple of months earlier. We would definitely come back again!
