Chez Touvenot is a perfect base for family holidays. It is a peaceful haven for those who wish to chill out by the private pool or take local village walks/cycle rides, whilst being well located for visiting beautiful unspoilt beaches and dining in some fine local restaurants.

A myriad of activities can be found just a short distance away, including the historic towns of Cognac, Pons, Saintes and Bordeaux. There are several fishing lakes, four golf courses and many activities for all of the family.

Accommodation detail

The four bedroom property provides spacious accommodation throughout. It has stone walls and large oak beams with high ceilings that make for light and airy rooms.

Downstairs:

• Large kitchen/diner complete with cosy wood burning stove. The kitchen is fitted with all modern appliances including a full oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, washing machine and dishwasher
• A games room with pool table, darts board and various games plus TV and DVD player. UK free to view satellite TV is provided, together with a library containing a wide variety of films
• Toilet and washbasin

Upstairs:

• Large hallway leading to:
• Four large bedrooms, two with a double bed and two with two single beds. Two extra beds are available upon request as the bedrooms are very large and capable of sleeping more
• Two large bathrooms can be used as en-suite or separate rooms, as required
• Bathroom towels and bed linen are included. We also have a cot and high chair available upon request

Outside:

• Enclosed garden with barbeque and seating area, leading to a private pool with sun loungers and shade. Our pool terrace has been recently renovated and includes table and chairs for al-fresco dining

About the location

Chez Touvenot is situated on the edge the pretty little village of Nieul le Virouil. It is approximately five minutes drive from the A10 autoroute from Paris to the South West. It is in the Charente-Maritime department close to the Gironde estuary and the beautiful unspoilt beaches around Royan. The village lies between the two market towns of Mirambeau and Jonzac. The regional capital, the Romano town of Saintes and the historic city of Bordeaux are both approximately forty minutes drive away.
