Domaine de Sebirol with Pool Surrounded by Open Fields nr Cahors, SW France

Domaine de Sebirol stands in the very rural surrounds on the southern border of the Lot as it borders the Tarn et Garonne (see map). The House is fully restored and also has a large grange (barn), good parking, and to the rear by the wood is the ruin of the original farmhouse.

The house is situated on 76 acres of private land up a long drive, well clear from any public roads. There are open fields surrounding, a wood behind the house which is great for walking and lots of beautiful spots to go for a picnic. There is a pond behind the house; it is fenced off and safe.

There is masses of space for the kids to run around, and in the summer the blackberries and damsons are abundant.

The house has six+ bedrooms and sleeps 15 in all officially, 2 of which are on a pullout daybed in the playroom. If needed, there is room in the playroom for more children to “camp”. The pool, which has a lovely view over the valley, has a security approved cover, which will apparently stop even a cow; it's also fenced as a first deterrent to little wanderers.

 Blackberries, Iphones etc. and various other plug in connections for laptops have all worked in the house.

This house is finished to a very high standard and is essentially our main “home”, even if we are abroad for now. It also stands alone and on its own farm, which is all yours to explore while you stay.

Holiday Accommodation at Domaine de Sebirol

Lay out is as follows (4000 square ft. in all; floor plans are based on early plans and some of the rooms have evolved a little differently. The general idea is the same, however:

Lower Ground Floor

  • Large playroom leading out onto the garden: TV, DVD and Video player. We're not linked up to any station so please bring your own disks, etc. with you.
  • Large guest bedroom with ensuite shower and bath;
  • Laundry room/ Downstairs W.C.

Ground Floor

  • Big open plan kitchen with stone surfacing: Godin cooker - 2 ovens and 5 gas burners - very big; a bit like an AGA in the UK but larger. There is also a microwave and all cooking utensils.
  • Scullery/Pantry (Arriere Cuisine) to the side with a dishwasher, large double sink and larder for storing food. Large fridge/freezer. Separate Ice maker.
  • Drawing room with high beams and large, old stone fireplace.Large oak dining table, seats 12 comfortably. Oak Flooring throughout.
  • Master Bedroom suite with a dressing room and en suite bathroom with shower, claw foot bath and double basin. Oak flooring throughout.

First Floor

  • Bedroom with bunk beds and a single bed.
  • Bedroom with double bed and a cot.
  • Bathroom and big walk in shower.

Second Floor

  • Bedroom with 2 single beds.
  • Bedroom with a double bed and stunning views over the valley.

About Trejouls in Tarn-et-Garonne, Midi Pyrenees

Our nearest big town is Cahors (20mins). The nearest village is either Lauzerte or Castelnau Montratier (both 10kms) and they have bakery, butcher, cafes, supermarket and lots of atmosphere.

How To Get To Trejouls in Tarn-et-Garonne, South West France

The house is situated 1.15 hrs from Toulouse airport and nearly the same on a good day from Bergerac, although that’s not a motorway journey and can take longer. Another option is Carcassone, which is 2.15 hrs. That should give you options for all the carriers.

Our housekeeper will also babysit/clean – to be arranged with her at an additional cost paid directly to her.

Rentals will be available from late spring.

If you would like the house at any other time then do enquire and we can talk about it. Winter can be quite beautiful, the house has under floor heating throughout and a roaring fire.                                                    

A security deposit will be required.
