Where is it

Haute-Garonne
 

Chateau de Montoussel is on the outskirts of a sleepy village and the gites are in the grounds of the Chateau. The Gites are totally separate from the Chateau and they have their own pool, which is used only by the clients. The 9m - 5m pool will be ready by 1st June 2010, sorry for no pictures.The Gites have been renovated in a mix of modern and old material to provide a stylish and comfortable stay.

A stunning 3 bedroom gite with a stylish homely feel situated in the grounds of Chateau de Montoussel.

The gite is beautifully designed with a mix of modern and antique furniture from both France and England, and has a light and airy feel. With pool and amazing views over farmland. It is 35 mins from Toulouse aiport.

About the location

Chateau de Montoussel is situated just above Beauville, looking over beautiful farm land and the local area. There are many villages around which have good restaurants such as Saint-Felix, which also has some amazing history to it.

Places to ski start 70 minutes away, Andorra is 120 minutes.

The Mediterranean sea is 80 minutes away. The nearest main coastal town is Narbonne.

The Chateau is 20 minutes from the famous town of Revel, where there is a market held every Saturday morning, which has been classed one of the top 10 in France. Also on the outskirts of the town is Saint-Ferreol lake, which was built in the 17th Century as the main reservoir for the Canal du Midi. A good day out can be had here as you can windsurf, sail and canoe on the lake, as well as eat in one of the many  restaurants there.

The Canal du Midi is 10 minutes away at the village of  Villefranche de Lauragais. You can bicycle from this point to Toulouse or to the Mediterranean.

How to get here

Chateau de Montoussel is 35 minutes from Toulouse airport Blagnac. Carcassonne airport is 50 minutes. From Toulouse you travel down the A61 towards Carcassonne and come off at Villefranche-de-Lauragais. There you travel for 10 minutes North to Beauville.
