This charming old stone farmhouse has a stunning view over unspoilt countryside, and has a large swimming pool and garden to keep the children happy.

Maison d'Henriette is within just a few minutes drive of Laguepie, which is a market village with a variety of shops and bars, post office, pharmacy, bank and of course an excellent bakery. The market takes up the village square every Sunday. There are also some excellent restaurants nearby.

Accommodation detail

The huge living spaces are light and spacious, and the tranquility all around you are ideal to let you recharge your batteries.

The south-west facing house has three bedrooms, a kitchen/dining room, separate lounge and a wooden sun terrace (which is wide enough for dining outdoors) overlooking the exclusive pool and the fenced garden.

The living room offers a DVD and UK satellite television (including all BBC channels) with two large, comfortable sofas and a coffee table. There are also adjustable radiators. The room opens out onto The large elevated sun-terrace overlooking the pool, ideal for summer living. There is a peaceful outlook over the fields and woodland, where all sorts of wildlife can often be spotted.

The kitchen area is well-equipped with a gas cooker, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, washing machine, microwave and all of the crockery, cutlery and utensils you should need. This room opens out to the sun terrace, so lunchtimes and evenings can easily consist of outdoor dining and relaxing by the pool.

The bedrooms (two doubles, one twin) are large and comfortable. One of the doubles has an ensuite bathroom, and also opens up to the sun terrace. There is plenty of wardrobe and storage space in each room, and both have adjustable radiators for your comfort. The ensuite has a bath, shower, toilet and washbasin. There is also a second shower room with toilet.

The swimming pool measures 12m by 6m, and has roman steps and a deep end. There is a wide tiled terrace all around.

Whether you are looking for a destination for a family holiday for anything up to 6 people, or would simply like a charming getaway as a couple, La Maison d'Henriette offers you a beautiful environment in which to relax.

About the location

Just 25 minutes away is Saint Antonin Noble Val, a beautiful medieval town which, as well as being visually stunning, is also a fascinating place to explore. It has a bustling Sunday market renowned across the region, and is a centre of outdoor sports in the area.
 
Most other nearby villages and towns also boast open air markets with an abundance of just about every kind of fresh local produce - including wine. Within just a short drive, you can find many vineyards and caves to sample the superb regional wines, perhaps most notably Gaillac. Some of the regular seasonal village fêtes and fairs are a treat too.
 
The Tarn-et-Garonne is a beautiful and unspoilt region, where the relaxed style and pace of life can almost take you back in time. It is blessed with natural oak forests, rivers, gorges, valleys, rolling hills, architectural masterpieces (such as the many medieval bastide towns and chateaux) and an abundance of flora and fauna. There are also many awe-inspiring walks and panoramas. Even the Mediterranean and the Pyrenees are within reach for day trips. It is an amazing area to discover, and truly a holiday destination which can please all tastes, both cultural and gastronomic!

How to get here

Maison d'Henriette can easily be reached by road. It is situated about a 45 minutes' drive from the A20 autoroute junction at Caussade, which is about 70km north of Toulouse. The drive from each of the ferry ports is mostly autoroute and fast roads. Should you wish to break up the journey, we'd be happy to recommend some excellent places to stay along the way.

By air, there are frequent flights to Toulouse and Rodez airports. Car hire is readily available at each one.

If you travel by rail, the nearest station is Laguepie (just 4km away.) We would be happy to collect you from there if you wish to have a holiday without a car.

Additional price information

The charges include bed linen and all kitchen and dining equipment including glasses. The only other charge is a returnable damage deposit of 100 Euros (£90.) We are happy to provide pool towels free of charge if your luggage allowance is a bit restrictive - just let us know.

Baby facilities are available on request.

The gite is cleaned every Friday between visitors, and we will provide you with clean linen on the middle Friday if you stay for two weeks. The gite is non-smoking and pets, unfortunately, are not permitted.

On your arrival, we open our doors at around 5pm, and departure time on the day you leave is 12noon.

To secure a booking, we would ask for a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the rental price at the time of booking. We can accept payments (either in sterling or in euros) by PayPal, cheque or by Bank Transfer. The balance is payable no later than eight weeks before arrival, please. There are no other charges.
