18th Century Country Farmhouse
Ma Maison de Campagne is our luxury and charming 18th century professionally renovated country farmhouse situated in the tranquil and private hamlet of Vesvres sous Prangey. Set amongst the beautiful countryside of the Langres region in the south of Champagne and just a few kilometres from the border of Burgundy.
This is our country retreat, which gives us excellent access to the gastronomy and history of three regions of France but also provides us with a peaceful place to relax in total seclusion away from the hustle and bustle of our normal daily lives.
The property is fully renovated and furnished to a very high standard with period furniture and high quality soft furnishings, giving the ultimate experience of authentic “french charm”. Full of character with many original features including Burgundy stone floors, oak beams and stone fireplaces; these are coupled with the full range of modern comforts including central heating throughout ensuring you a comfortable and stress free stay. On entering the farmhouse, you will discover how light and spacious the property is. You are greeted with a large fully equipped farmhouse kitchen and separate double salon both with open woodburning fires. On the first floor, there are 3 large individually designed bedrooms each with its own private bathroom. The property sits independently in a wooded valley and offers uninterrupted views from every window. Enjoy the magnificent surroundings in this private and secluded spot – we have spent many a relaxing evening with a glass or two of wine and some local delicacies.
Beyond this delightful village, you will find a full range of shops just two kilometres away providing bakers, butchers, supermarket and bank. Just a short drive away is the medieval fortress town of Langres and to the south the beautiful city of Dijon. Venture to the famous wine producers of the area on the Cote de Beaune and dine at world renowned restaurants.

Ground Floor
- Kitchen / Dining Room – large farmhouse kitchen with lovely original features of oak beams, Dalle de Bourgogne stone flooring and open woodburning fire. This room provides a large fully equipped kitchen area with large oak table and chairs, which comfortably seats 8 people – the ideal place to relax in true French style. Oak stairs leading to the first floor. Cooker – Fridge – Dishwasher – Kettle – Toaster - Full range of tableware and cutlery – Coffeemaker – Extensive range of cooking equipment and utensils – Cleaning Equipment.
- Double Salon – a lovely spacious and light room with door leading out to the garden / outdoor dining area. This large double salon is furnished with luxury soft furnishings and has original oak beams, stone flooring and open woodburning fireplace. Television – DVD player – IPOD docking station – Television with French speaking channels – selection of books / games – portable CD player.
- Cloakroom – toilet and sink.
- Utility Room – microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer.

- Master Bedroom – large bedroom furnished with period pieces with queen size bed, clothes cupboard, wardrobe, armchair, foot stool – original parquet flooring and views of the surrounding countryside. Ensuite bathroom with bath, toilet and sink and original tomette tiled flooring.

The farmhouse has a secluded and private south and west facing grassed terrace / garden area with fabulous views. Outdoor metal dining table with 6 chairs, sun loungers, sun umbrella and barbeque. The property has off road parking immediately next to the farmhouse and has a large garage suitable for one large car.

Situated in the tranquil and private hamlet of Vesvres sous Prangey amongst the beautiful countryside of the Langres region, in the south of Champagne and just a few kilometres from the border of Burgundy.
The farmhouse is in a lovely peaceful setting and you are within easy reach of local shops including bakery, post office, pharmacy via car, bicycle or walking. You are ideally placed to explore the many historic features of the Burgundy and Champagne areas including the beautiful towns of Dijon, Beaune and Langres and sample the many wines of the nearby Burgundy / Champagne vineyards. You are just 5 minutes from 4 superb lakes where there is the full range of water activities and a lovely beach to relax on.

Additional price information
Short breaks available – minimum 3 nights – please contact us for details.
The price is per week and includes all bedding, tea towels, electricity, gas, heating and firewood. Bath and hand towels are not included in the price.
A non-refundable 25% deposit is payable at the time of booking with balance of outstanding monies payable 8 weeks prior to the date of arrival. A 300 euros damages / breakages deposit is payable with the final balance and this will be refunded to you within 2 weeks of your departure by euro cheque.
The farmhouse is fully cleaned and prepared to a high standard prior to the arrival of each guest. A small grocery pack containing items such as toilet roll, soap, washing up liquid, bottle of wine, milk, tea bags, sugar, coffee and firelighters awaits you on your arrival.
