Quiet B&B/Chambres d'Hotes with Pool & A Warm Welcome in the Lot et Garonne

Cap de Roux is situated about two kilometres from the small village of Dausse, which is between the two lovely bastide villages of Penne d'Agenais and Tournou d'Agenais.  The house is set up on the hill outside the village, with fabulous views across the valley. We are equi-distant from the Atlantic and Mediterranean coasts, both of which are approximately a three hour drive away.  You will find a full description of the area and available activities on our website on the page entitled Things To See and Do, so please have a look at www.capderoux.com.

Both our guest bedrooms have a double bed and their own shower room and loo.  The rooms also have ceiling fans, dressing table, chair, hanging rail with clothes hangers and a hairdryer.  We provide pool towels for guests' use and there is a fridge/freezer in the cellar where you can chill your wine or beer and store your picnic supplies or salads should you wish to eat here in the garden.  We are happy to lend you plates, glasses and cutlery and to put them in the dishwasher afterwards.

About Dausse in Lot-et-Garonne, Aquitaine

Cap de Roux is situated about two kilometres from the small village of Dausse, which is between the two lovely bastide villages of Penne d'Agenais and Tournou d'Agenais. The house is set up on the hill outside the village, with fabulous views across the valley.

Dausse village has a well stocked grocery shop and depot de pain, two garages (one for repairs and one for fuel), the inevitable hairdresser, a doctor and a vet - so most needs are catered for. There is also what we consider to be one of the best restaurants in the area. Every day there is a local market within easy reach and on Tuesday nights during July and August there is a night market at Dausse, which is very popular with both visitors and locals.

You will find restaurants to suit all tastes and pockets in Penne, Tournon, Agen and Villeneuve. We are ideally situated for day trips to the towns of Cahors, Agen, Albi, Toulouse and Bordeaux. All around are pretty little villages built of the beautiful white Quercy stone.

How To Get To Dausse in Lot-et-Garonne, South West France

Our nearest airport is Bergerac (45 minutes), but we are also within reach of Carcassone, Rodez, Toulouse and Bordeaux. If you have your own plane, you can fly to Roge, which is about ten minutes away.

For those of you who prefer not to fly, the high speed TGV goes to Agen, which is about a thirty minute drive from here and there are hire cars available at the station.

Driving here from Calais will take you approximately nine hours.
