Comfortable, Newly Refurbished Accommodation on Tranquil Working Domaine

Le Puget is a haven of calm and tranquility over 1000 feet up into the rolling foothills of the Pyrenees. Newly refurbished this year, we offer generous and comfortable accommodation with gourmet dining on site. When you are sufficiently relaxed after lazing by the pool, you can walk or cycle for hours on the 55 acres of our working arable farm and the oak woods beyond.

There is a wide range of interesting things to do within an hour in every direction. Mirepoix is our local town, less than 15 minutes away; it has a lovely regular market in its exceptional early medieval square and a wide range of restaurants and shops.

Holiday Accommodation at The Farmhouse

Newly renovated, spacious accommodation in old stone farmhouse on tranquil working domaine. The classic French style of open beams and tiled or wooden floors works well with our own more modern and uncluttered style.

The Farmhouse is approached through its own secluded private garden which is set up for relaxed summer dining.

French doors lead to:

  • The large airy living room with open beams and a tiled floor, with comfy sofas before an open fire, French windows at each end, and
  • A newly installed, well equipped modern kitchen with
  • A separate utility room.

Up the open wooden stairs

  • The main king size bedroom faces south over the garden and gets sun all day through the shuttered windows.
  • The second, smaller bedroom with twin beds has shuttered windows looking over the courtyard.
  • The bathroom, also new this year, has a large modern walk in shower and is finished in oak.

Gourmet dining is usually available at Le Puget, and additional housekeeping services can be provided.  

Central heating and the log fire mean that Le Puget is cosy all through the winter. 

We can provide additional en suite bedrooms if your party is a little larger than 4.

About Mirepoix in Aude, Languedoc Roussillon

Le Domaine de Puget is set about 1000 feet up into the rolling foothills of the Pyrenees. Its a very tranquil rural area, but just 15 minutes from a motorway and 15 mins in each direction from towns with shops, restaurants and all facilities.

How To Get To Mirepoix in Aude, South of France and the Riviera

Le Domaine de Puget is easy to get to and easy to find. We are about 15 minutes from Castelnaudary, which has a train station and is on the A61 motorway.

Toulouse airport (eayjet, BA, and BMI from UK) and TGV station are both about an hour away, as are Bezier or Narbonne stations. Carcassonne airport (Ryanair) is about 30 minutes distant; Montpellier or Perpignan airports are less than two hours away.

The Domaine has more than 50 acres of land to explore, with its own small lake, and great views from the land to the nearby Pyrenees. You can walk or cycle for hours in the oak woodland around us.
