Delightful, white stone two double bedroom property in a charming, tranquil setting amongst the rolling vineyards of Gaillac.

Glorious far reaching views, and magnificent pool.

A magical place to relax and unwind. Wonderful walks, numerous wine domains, an artist's haven, idyllic romantic hideaway .

During peak season - July 14th - August 25th 2012 mimumum booking is two weeks.

10% Reduction when booking for two people only.

Holiday Accommodation at La Forge

This charming house sits on the edge of the picturesque village of Broze. The entrance is through an ancient stone arch into a magical white gravel courtyard with olive trees and geraniums. The property consists of:

  • A delightful open plan living room/dining room/kitchen opening onto:
  • A covered dining area, which in turn leads to a sun deck and enticing 9 x 5 metre pool, all with glorious far reaching views along the valley to the distant Montagne Noir.

The ground floor is tiled throughout and boasts an impressive white stone fire place and beamed ceiling. An oak staircase leads to:

  • Two lovely bedrooms, also beamed. 1 with double bed the other with twin beds and both with en-suite facilities.

About Broze in Tarn, Midi Pyrenees

"La Forge" sits on the edge of the charming, tranquil little village of Broze, just ten minutes drive from Gaillac. It is totally surrounded by vineyards and has magnificent far reaching views from the terraces, courtyard and garden. The location is a haven for walkers and artists. It is a five minute drive to the nearest shops in Cahuzac sur Vere, where you will find two boulangerie, a mini supermarket, an excellent store for local specialities, a wine shop and a pharmacy. There is also a brasserie and a bar plus a superbe Michelin starred restaurant.

Most near by villages have a weekly market, where you will find many local speciality foods and wonderful fresh produce. A list will be left for you at "La Forge".

The area is rich with culture and interesting places to visit. including many charming bastide villages. The historic city of Albi is just 20 minutes drive, Carcassonne, is approximately one and half hours, and the magnificent Millau bridge designed by British architect Norman Foster, is a beautiful two hour drive through spectacular scenery. There is boating on near by lakes, canoeing on the Aveyron at St Antonin, horse riding at various stables and bike hire all within easy reach.

The area is a haven for artists and walkers, with many randonee routes withing easy reach of "La Froge"

How To Get To Broze in Tarn, South West France

From Toulouse airport it is a 40 minute drive to Gaillac, then a 10 minute meandre through the hills to Broze. (detailed directions can be sent on request).

From Carcassonne and Rodez airports, it is approximately one a half hours to Gaillac.

A car is essential for your stay at "La Forge".

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at "La Forge" . The gite itself is so pretty and very well fitted out, the view is stunning, and the surrounding area quite beautiful. Thank you to Suki for making us feel so welcome and for providing many helpful suggestions and a delicious meal. We wish we could stay longer.

From our first dinner on Suki's terrace to our final night's boules in Vieux, it has been an absolute joy staying here at "La Forge". The pool was a great highlight for the kids, the house was equally comfortable on the couple of cool days, as it was on the blissfully hot ones. We loved Cordes sur Ciel, brilliant canoing at St Antonin and a great dinner in the square at Castelnau. Above all, we loved the view!! thank you Suki.
