La Porte is situated in one of the most beautiful spots of Normandy and is surrounded by fields which are inhabited by many species of wildlife including birds of prey. It is an ideal base for all the attractions that Normandy have to offer.

While we cannot boast of an open fire or antique furniture the accommodation is clean and comfortable in a beautiful part of Normandy. It is an ideal base for visiting this lovely area for holidays or if you are considering buying in this area.

Bed and Breakfast is also available.

Holiday Accommodation at La Porte

This beautiful accommodation comprises:

  • Kitchen/Living room: Where the family can spend time together. There is a settee, table and chairs. Satellite television, dvd player, also there is a radio/cd player, books and games.
  • Bedrooms: There are two bedrooms, one with 2 comfortable single beds, here there is a bedside cabinet between the beds with clock radio with cd player and bedside lamps. There are two wardrobes with drawers and a sink unit. The second bedroom is smaller but has two single beds, which can be converted into bunk beds to give more room. There is a wardrobe with drawers. A cot, highchair and pushchair available.
  • Bathroom: The bathroom has a bath, separate shower cubicle, bidet, sink unit and toilet.
  • Garden/Pool: There is a small garden off the kitchen/living area which is completely enclosed, ideal for young children or pets. There is a table and chairs and charcoal BBQ. There is also use of the larger garden which has seating and sun loungers and use of the out of ground splash pool. Service wash available.

About Courson in Calvados, Normandy

The property is situated between the two market towns of Vire and Villedieu-les-poeles. There are train stations in these towns which have direct lines to Paris.

Our nearest town of St Sever has a small typical french market on Saturdays. There are many local restaurants and bars. In St Sever there is a supermarket, bakers, post office and a bank with a cash machine.

While we are located in rural surroundings, we are 1 hour away from the famous D Day Beaches and Le Mont st Michel.

The nearest coast is approximately 30 mins drive away which has some of the best fish restaurants in Normandy.

How To Get To Courson in Calvados, North West France

From the A84 take junction 39, Direction Villedieu- les- poelles.  Take D524 direction Vire, St Cecile. Continue through St Cecile. Through Fontenermount, take turning on the left, direction Courson. Continue over railway crossing, take first left.
