Toulouges is set in the heart of the Pyrénées Orientals with superb facilities. Only five minutes from Perpignan centre with a short drive to the Mediterranean beaches and the Spanish border, makes it a great location for your holidays.

The house is on three storeys all with original 'river stone' walls and interior furnishings to a high standard. There are two king size beds and an extra double room with ensuite.

The owners provide a gas BBQ, wine cave, his'n'hers bicycles, GPS, two 'pay as you go’ mobile phones and internets with satellite TV. So all you need do is arrive and relax, everything you need is catered for.

About the location

Toulouges is a very pretty town set in the heart of the Pyrenees Orientales. Only five minutes from Perpignan city centre and 25 minutes from the beach providing a full range of activities and interests for your holidays.

The town is full of bars, bakerys and restaurants. The public bus service is available with the stop just around the corner.

The Spanish border is only 35 minutes drive providing you with a whole new country to explore whilst on your holidays and the closest ski resort is 1hour 30 mins away ....perfect!

How to get here

Perpignan Airport is the closest at only 13kms. From the airport follow the Perpignan Centre signs then take the A9 Prades road, at the main roundabout take the exit to Toulouges.

From the main motorway A9 follow the 'Perpignan Sud' exit  which is about 1 ½ hours drive from both Toulouse and Barcelona airports.

The property is less than 100 metres from the Marie, and 4kms from Toulouges Train Station. 

There are flights to Perpignan & Girona Airport with discount carriers such as Ryanair from many UK airports.

If you are looking for a very nice location (clean, design, confortable, neighborhood...) owned by charming people in the Perpignan area do not hesitate. We had a lovely stay there.

My husband and I stayed in this wonderful house with our 15 year old daughter for 1 week in July 2011. We had a wonderful stay. The house is very spacious, immaculate and the owners have put a great deal of thought into ensuring guests are very well catered for and comfortable. The bedrooms are huge and so comfortable. We all had great sleep for the week. It truly is a home away from home.

The kitchen is so well equipped and charming that we chose to eat in on some nights- something we never do on holiday. The owners had kindly left bicycles for our stay so we were able to use the lovely cycle path which starts in the village. If you are looking for a holiday to enjoy French village life and visit the beach or Perpignan this house is perfect. Canet beach is an easy 20 minute drive and Perpignan only 10 minutes. Once we arrived Ruby let us know she was available if we needed anything at all.

This house is a gem and we would highly recommend it.

This is a fantastic, spacious house set in a sleepy town. The two upstairs bedrooms, which share a bathroom, are very large with plenty of storage space, and the downstairs living room and kitchen are also sizable.

Amenities include fully specked appliances in the kitchen, large flat screen TV, Sky TV, wireless etc. The ground floor includes a large space for storage, a small living room/bedroom and another toilet and shower. The house is aesthetically lovely, with stone walls and wooden floors, and is generally delightful to be in. The outside space is small and you won't spend much time there.

Toulouges is really well located. There are some incredibly pretty villages, like Castelnou, inside half an hour. Keep driving and you can explore the Pyrenees, amazing places like the fortified Villefranche de Conflent, castles perched on mountainous ridges, etc. Drive to the east and you'll hit the coast. Cyprien and Canet Plage are fairly uninspiring, but if you head down the coast you'll find Port Vendres and Collioure, the latter of which is incredibly picturesque and well worth spending an evening or two in.

Figueres in Spain (Dali's birthplace) is only 45 minutes away, and you can get to Barcelona in 2 hours if you're fond of the accelerator. Of course, being in Languedoc Rousillon, you're surrounded by wine, with vineyards aplenty to tour. I recommend Domaine Treloar, about 15 mins drive away, where I learnt more about wine in an hour than I had in my previous years of dedicated drinking.
