Traditional Stone Farmhouse with Exclusive Pool in Tranquil Setting
Sérénité is an attractive old stone farmhouse tucked into a peaceful setting between wooded hillsides. It has been sympathetically renovated to provide comfortable and spacious accommodation without losing it's traditional character, and it retains it's "Old French Farmhouse" feel.
The large exclusive pool with it's large terrace and sunloungers has splendid views over the village and surrounding hills. The garden has lots of space for children to enjoy themselves, and if you fancy a walk, the village is only about ten minutes away.
This property is ideal for families who wish to enjoy their holiday in a secluded spot, away from noise and neighbours.
Holiday Accommodation at Sérénité
The house is spread over two floors, and is reached by a private driveway off a quiet country lane. Outside there's plenty of shade around and endless scope for watching the local wildlife, both on the ground and in the air. The property comprises:
- Kitchen: The well-equipped kitchen has a fridge-freezer, an electric oven and hob, microwave and all of the equipment you should need, with lots of storage. It leads into the:
- Lounge with its old wooden floors and fireplace. It is a very large and spacious room, with comfortable sofas, television and a DVD player.
- Hallway: The hallway has huge glazed sliding doors which allow light to flood in, and there are stairs from here to downstairs (where you'll find the washing machine) and upstairs to some of the bedrooms.
- Bedroom: At the far end of the ground floor there is a bright and spacious double bedroom with exposed stone walls and beams, and a modern ensuite bathroom with shower, basin and WC. From this bedroom there is a superb view through the French doors over the garden, the pool, woodland and the village beyond.
- Upstairs: The double bedroom also overlooks the swimming pool and the garden. There is an additional single bed available for this bedroom should you need one for young children.
- Single Room: This room also has its own ensuite shower room with WC.
- Large Mezzanine: There are two further single beds, and another bathroom with a bath and shower.
- Outside: the garden is gently sloping and has lots of space for children (and adults) to play. There is a barbecue available too.
- Pool: The superb swimming pool is 10m x 5m with a deep-end, roman steps, underwater lighting, and it has an alarm for your security and peace of mind. There's plenty of sunloungers and chairs from which to soak up the sunshine, and a table with parasol if you fancy your meals poolside.
About Laguepie in Tarn, Midi Pyrenees
The charming village of Laguepie is a traditional old French village, with most amenities. It is nestled at the confluence of two rivers, the Aveyron and the Viaur. As a result, there are lots of water sports to enjoy in the area, and the village even has a small beach.
Just 25 minutes away is Saint Antonin Noble Val, a beautiful medieval town which, as well as being visually stunning, is also a fascinating place to explore. It has a bustling Sunday market renowned across the region, and is a centre of outdoor sports in the area.
Most other nearby villages and towns also boast open air markets with an abundance of just about every kind of fresh local produce - including wine. Within just a short drive, you can find many vineyards and caves to sample the superb regional wines, perhaps most notably Gaillac. Some of the regular seasonal village fêtes and fairs are a treat too.
The Tarn-et-Garonne is a beautiful and unspoilt region, where the relaxed style and pace of life can almost take you back in time. It is blessed with natural oak forests, rivers, gorges, valleys, rolling hills, architectural masterpieces (such as the many medieval bastide towns and chateaux) and an abundance of flora and fauna. There are also many awe-inspiring walks and panoramas. Even the Mediterranean and the Pyrenees are within reach for day trips. It is an amazing area to discover, and truly a holiday destination which can please all tastes, both cultural and gastronomic!

How To Get To Laguepie in Tarn, South West France
Sérénité can easily be reached by road. It is situated about a 45 minutes' drive from the A20 autoroute junction at Caussade, which is about 70km north of Toulouse.
The drive from each of the ferry ports is mostly autoroute and fast roads. Should you wish to break up the journey, we'd be happy to recommend some excellent places to stay along the way.
By air, there are frequent flights to Toulouse and Rodez airports. Car hire is readily available at each one.
If you travel by rail, the nearest station is Laguepie (just 1km away.) We would be happy to collect you from there (or indeed the airport) if you wish to have a holiday without a car.

Additional price information
The charges include bed linen. The only other charge is a returnable damage deposit of 100 Pounds. We are happy to provide pool towels free of charge if your luggage allowance is a bit restrictive - just let us know.
Baby facilities are available on request.
The gite is cleaned every Friday between visitors, and we will provide you with clean linen on the middle Friday if you stay for two weeks. The gite is non-smoking and pets, unfortunately, are not permitted.
On your arrival, we open our doors at around 4pm, and departure time on the day you leave is 10am.
To secure a booking, we would ask for a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the rental price at the time of booking. We accept payments in sterling, either by cheque, bank transfer or over the telephone by credit card. The balance is payable no later than eight weeks before arrival, please. There are no other charges.
