Beautiful Light and Airy Reverie near Lorignac, Charente Maritime

The owners of Reverie have created a relaxed, well equipped hideaway. The Charentaise long house house is light, airy and spacious. It is stone built with oak beams and situated in a peaceful hamlet surrounded by sunflower fields and vineyards.

A south facing garden and far reaching views create a wonderful outside space to dine and chill out, whilst the heated turquoise, saline swimming pool catches the sun from early morning to the last glorious sunset, and can be illuminated for night time swims.

The house sleeps 4/6 with and has all modern comforts. Decoration is in the style shabby chic (although more chic than shabby!), an eclectic mix of old and new keeping comfort as priority.

The house caters well for children although it is worth noting that upstairs windows open fully and are low, also the pool within the enclosed garden is protected by a hard security cover and not fenced.

This light and airy house comprises:

  • Bedrooms: The property offers 2 double bedrooms and 2 singles bedrooms, accommodation sleeps 4/6 people. Master bedroom has ensuite bathroom.
  • Living areas: The house has 2 living areas, one downstairs and the other upstairs.
  • Garden: The property has a walled garden which is totally enclosed and gated.
  • Outdoor: Outdoor furniture, giant bean bags, chairs, table, gas barbeque and terrace.
  • Swimming pool: The 4m x 8m heated pool with Roman steps at the shallow end is floodlit at night and has a security cover. It slopes to 1.5m in depth at the deep end.
  • Bikes: Two adult bikes.
  • Garage: Garage for 2 cars.

About Lorignac in Charente-Maritime, Poitou Charentes

Reverie is nestled in a tiny hamlet in rolling countryside with safe cycling and walking for children, beautiful safe sandy beaches on the Gironde Estuary are within 20 minutes drive.

Tiny ports lining the Gironde offer great opportunity to explore the flora a fauna of the area. There is also a super sailing school in Port Maubert for children.

Nearby are market towns of Jonzac and Gemozac.

How To Get To Lorignac in Charente-Maritime, South West France

Charente Maritime is within easy reach of the A10 Paris/Bordeaux motorway.

It is also one hour from Bordeaux and 1 1/4 hours from La Rochelle International Airport.

The port of St Malo is only about 4 ½ hour drive away.
