Beautiful Stone Pigeonnier in the Heart of Rural France
How best to summarize the quality of The Pigeonnier... we have owned Le Sage and The Pigeonnier since 1973. This is not a place that has been bought as a commercial venture, recently renovated to turn a quick profit - it has the feel of a place that has been loved and nurtured, because it has been loved and nurtured, and is still.
We don't have a swimming pool but we do offer services that others may not. Personal Yoga lessons are available and or the use of the yoga studio (which will be ready by Christmas 2010, hence no pictures yet). Also babysitting can be arranged. You are welcome to help yourself to fresh vegetables and herbs from the garden and we have 2 lovely (and quiet) donkeys who always appreciate some attention. For the kids we have games and toys as well as a trampoline and outside activities - also a couple of outdoor cats that enjoy a good cuddle or a bit of playing. We have lovely donkeys and goats who always appreciate some attention and if you like your eggs farm fresh we have 15 or so chickens who lay small but delicious eggs. You may aslo be enchanted by the pristine ducks who waddle around looking for admiration.
A generous welcome package of goodies will welcome you on your arrival, and for a small additional fee, a home cooked meal can be provided should you not want to get involved with cooking as soon as you arrive.

About Razac D Eymet in Dordogne, Aquitaine
Well placed
In a quiet corner South of Bergerac, up on it's own little hill, 'Le Sage' is well placed for exploring the famous prehistoric sites, medieval villages and stunning Chateaux's of the Dordogne and the Lot, all within a couple of hours drive tops. The great and dynamic city of Bordeaux is just an hour and twenty mins from us, and the massive beaches at Archachon (including the largest sand dune in Europe) are just 2 hours drive away - makes a great day out.
Eymet
Eymet is a picturesque medieval Bastide town full of life and going's on. In the height of the summer there is a night market once a week which offers food, performances and goods in the central square. Throughout the summer there are various festivals and events which bring people from miles around. Get in touch for more details or check it out on-line to find out more. Eymet-guide is one site to look at.
Local facilities
Canoeing, riding, tennis and golf are available nearby and music festivals throughout the season. There are a number of lakes and swimming pools in the immediate area for lazy afternoons swimming and soaking up some sun. Off main roads you move in a landscape little changed for decades. Country restaurants can still delight and this is a happy hunting ground for anyone interested in food and wine. If you require further information please get in touch.

How To Get To Razac D Eymet in Dordogne, South West France
This area has recently become much more easily accessable since the introduction of Ryanair, Easyjet and flyBe flights to Bergerac airport (20 minutes away). Many people find it easier and more time-saving to fly in and hire a car for the duration of their stay. We have a car (Renault Twingo) available for hire. Bergerac and Marmande have train stations, which go direct to Bordeaux.
The Pigeonnier is a short days drive from the ferry ports in the north of France. When we bought the place that was what decided where we were to buy - take a boat and then a reasonable day's drive, stop and look for a place to buy - that was in 1973.
