This spacious 4 bedroom/3 bathroom house is ideal for holidays for a larger family or possibly two families. Plenty of space and activities for kids, superb gardens and swimming pool, with large terrace for outside dining. It is within 5 mins of Vaison la Romaine, which has all the commerce you need, plus a famous weekly Provencal market, and lots of entertainment all year round.

This family house comfortably sleeps 6, plus bunk beds for kids. It is very spacious, the bedrooms are a good size with storage space throughout. The property offers:

  • The large lounge area has comfortable settees and armchairs, an open fireplace, satellite TV, and space for kids to play, and leads to the dining area.
  • Dining area with dining table for 8, plus separate dining table for larger numbers. This very large room with sliding doors leads you to the terrace.
  • Terrace, garden and swimming pool.
  • The kitchen is open plan, very well equipped, with a small ante room with a freezer, and more storage space.
  • The laundry room is well equipped.
  • There are 3 bathrooms, two en-suite.
  • Plus 2 extra cloakrooms.

About Vaison La Romaine in Vaucluse, Provence - Cote d'Azur

Villa Grainger is situated 5 minutes from the Roman town of Vaison la Romaine with its restaurants, bars, Roman remains, amphitheatre, and old medieval village set in the rocks. There is a wonderful Provencal market each Tuesday, and there are speciality shops in the town, including a cheese shop voted the 4th best in France!  During the year there are numerous festivals - music, theatre, choral, dance with many international entertainers performing at the Antique theatre, Cathedral etc. There are plenty of restaurants for all tastes - from Pizzas, to bistros, to Michelin starred restaurants in or near the town.

Great for walks, cycling, hiking, river swimming, with Mt. Ventoux dominating the scenery of  from the whole area. You can taste the wonderful Cotes du Rhone wines in numerous wineries in the area.

Nyons, another Roman town is 10 minutes away, and easily reached are Orange, Avignon, Arles, Nimes, Aix and all the wonderful sights of Provence.

How To Get To Vaison La Romaine in Vaucluse, South of France and the Riviera

  • The property can be reached by train to Orange or Avignon
  • By plane to Marseille, Avignon,Nimes and Montpellier.
  • It is a drive of approximatelky 10hrs from Calais, and 3hrs from Nice by car.
