Our villa comprises:

  • Ground floor comprises integral garage, WC, storage cupboard and hall opening to modern separate fitted kitchen, spacious lounge/diner with French doors leading to south facing patio area.
  • First floor has bathroom with double basin, shower over bath, separate WC and 3 spacious twin bedrooms all with full width sliding wardrobes to one wall.
  • Air conditioning and heating ensure the villa is comfortable at any time of year.

About Le Barcares in Pyrénées-Orientales, Languedoc Roussillon

Located in a quiet holiday residence within walking distance of a supermarket, bakeries, butchers, wine merchant, fish shop, market and restaurants/take aways. The nearest beach is about 300m away. The local area is flat and ideal for cycling. There is a 'voie verte' (cycle path) running alongside the River Agly about 5 minutes away. The beaches in the Barcares area are sandy and the Cote Vermeilles with its rocky coves is only a short drive away. Walkers have easy access to Cap Leucat, and the limestone hill ranges of the Fenouilledes, the Alberes and of course the Pyrenees.

Perpignan is a short 20 minute drive and Narbonne and Carcassonne are easily accessible by autoroute. Alternatively the Spanish border is only 40 minutes away with Girona being about 1.5 hours drive.

How To Get To Le Barcares in Pyrénées-Orientales, South of France and the Riviera

The house is approximately 10 minutes drive from the A9 autoroute - 'Le Catalan' and 20 minutes drive from the nearest airport at Perpignan. Realistically it is a 2 day drive from UK. Calais to Le Barcares is approximately 1100kms.

Alternative airports are Girona and Carcassonne each of which are about an hour and half away by autoroute.
