Holiday Villa with Pool near to the Beach in La Tranche sur Mer, Vendée

Les Pins du Phare Holiday Villa is located only a short walk from the lovely beaches of La Tranche sur Mer. Ideally situated for family holidays, with a private pool and south facing garden, it is only a 10 minute walk to the bustling centre of this seaside resort town.

The villa sleeps up to 8 guests in 4 bedrooms and has a newly installed modern kitchen. There is a dining area in the living room and also a table & chairs on the covered patio in the garden for al fresco dining. One of the bedrooms(with en-suite shower room) is situated on the ground floor, so may be suitable for guests with limited mobility.

La Tranche is a fantastic location for water sports and has lots of entertainment for all the family throughout the summer - mostly within walking distance! The area is famed for its long beaches and pine forests - both ideal for wlking and running - or picnicing! There are also miles of cycle tracks nearby, passing through forests, countryside and coastal areas.

Holiday Accommodation at Les Pins du Phare

Les Pins du Phare holiday villa is located only a short walk from the sandy beaches of La Tranche sur Mer. The villa is a real home-from-home, with everything on hand to ensure that you enjoy your holiday and comprises:

  • There is a modern fully equipped kitchen that leads out onto the covered patio area which is a great place for al fresco dining. The living room has WiFi access.
  • There is a separate WC on the ground floor, along with a second lounge with TV and PS2 games console. The TV has UK & French satellite channels.
  • In the basement there is a utility area with a washing machine and also a games area with table tennis table.
  • Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms - each with an en-suite shower room. One bedroom has a double bed, one has two single beds and the third bedroom has bunkbeds. There is also a cot and high chair for young children.
  • A 4th Bedroom is located on the ground floor - with en-suite shower room.
  • Outside, there is a private sunny garden with 9m x 5m swimming pool (With alarm and security barrier for the safety of your children). There is a sandpit and sun loungers, as well as a large dining table with 8 chairs. Parasols and other deck chairs are also available.
  • There is private off-road parking for 2 cars, as well as space in front of the house for a further 2 cars.

About La Tranche Sur Mer in Vendée, Pays de La Loire

Les Pins du Phare Holiday Villa is located only 400 metres from the beach in the seaside town of La Tranche sur Mer in the Vendée region of France. The Vendée is noted for being the 2nd sunniest part of France after the Mediterranean coast, with over 2000 hours of sunshine each year!

La Tranche is a bustling coastal resort and the villa is located in a quieter residential suburb - only a 10 minute walk from the centre, with all of its bars, restaurants, shops and entertainment. The area is popular with the French and the British and is a great base for surf lovers, as there are some fantastic surfing & body boarding beaches only a short drive away. There is a lovely French restaurant only a short walk away, along with a bakery.

Further afield, the cathedral town of Luçon is good for shopping, restaurants and site seeing. The old port of La Rochelle is only an hour away and there you will find a world class Aquarium, great site seeing & shopping and entertainment stretching into the evenings around the harbour.

In summer, La Tranche comes alive! There is a twice weekly market selling lots of good local produce and often there are summer fayres and antique markets as well. The town has many restaurants, catering for all tastes and seafood is a great speciality - with oysters and mussels freshly landed each morning.

In the evenings, the town has lots of entertainment for all ages, ranging from music & dancing in the bars, to full-blown 'Summer Shows', as well as discos and lots of organised entertainment on the beaches.

The beach at Le Phare is only a short walk from the Villa. This is a great place for water sports - with surf schools, sailing, body boarding and kite surfing all close by.

Sea fishing boats leave La Tranche every morning and there is a ferry/site seeing boat that takes you from La Tranche to La Rochelle and Fort Boyard.

How To Get To La Tranche Sur Mer in Vendée, North West France

  • The town of La Tranche sur Mer is approximately a 50-60 minute drive from La Rochelle Airport and 80 minutes from the airport at Nantes. Both airports are served by budget airlines such as Ryanair, FlyBe, EasyJet and Jet2.
  • Car hire is available at both airports.
  • If you are binging your own car with you, then St Malo is the closest of the northern ferry ports - at only 3.5 hours away. Caen is 4.5 hours away, Cherbourg is 5.5 hours away and Calais is 6.5 hours away.

The house has been tastefully decorated in readiness for 2011 and is contemporary in style. There is an open plan ground floor leading out to the patio and pool area. There is also a second smaller lounge with TV and PS2 to keep the children amused.

The TV has UK and French channels and Wi-Fi access is available on the ground floor. In the hallway there is plenty of storage and a separate WC. 3 bedrooms are on the first floor and all have an en-suite shower room with shower, hand basin and WC.  The fourth bedroom is on the ground floor, and also has an en-suite, so may be suitable for guests with limited mobility. There is a stair gate for the security of your children.

In the basement there is a table tennis table and tents that can be used on the beach. The washing machine is located in the basement as well.

The gardens to the rear of the house are private and not overlooked by any of the neighbouring houses.

The swimming pool is alarmed and is 1.1m deep at the shallow end and 1.8m deep at the deep end. There are steps down to the shallow end.

There is a sandpit for the children to play in and several sun loungers for relaxing.

Additional price information

For high season the changeover day is a Saturday, but we are able to be more flexible outside of these summer dates. We can also accommodate long winter lets, so please call us for more details.

A 30% deposit will be required to secure the reservation with the remaining payment being made 8 weeks prior to the start of your stay.

A £200 security deposit cheque is also required against any damages to the property.

We are able to accept payment by direct bank transfer, in Sterling, Euros or via a PayPal account. (Please note that if paying by PayPal, a 3% charge will be added to cover the PayPal fees).
