  • Bright, spacious living /dining area with comfy sofas. Dining table seats 8 comfortably (but can be extended further).
  • Separate kitchen equipped to very high standard.
  • Hallway leading to 3 good-sized bedrooms.
  • Good-sized bathroom with shower and double sink unit.
  • Patio doors onto terrace lead directly from living area. Terrace enjoys a sunny aspect and can be used for al fresco dining or sunbathing.
  • Garden is mostly grass, level and fully enclosed.

About Mazeres in Ariège, Midi Pyrenees

The villa is in a quiet residential area 5 minutes walk from the town centre and all its facilities. Thursday is market day and there is a choice of cafes and restaurants and a selection of bakers and shops including a well stocked gift shop. There are many festivals throughout the year, the main one being the medieval festival in July/August. Quite a spectacle!

The larger towns of Saverdun, Pamiers, Foix (with its Cathar castle) and Mirepoix are nearby and if you fancy a day at the coast Gruissan is an hour and a half away.

The walled city of Carcassonne is an hour away and if you fancy taking the bikes for a cycle along the Canal du Midi it is half an hour's drive along beautiful rural roads.

The Pyrenees are also nearby (easily visible on a clear day) if you fancy walking or even skiing!

How To Get To Mazeres in Ariège, South West France

The airports of Carcassonne and Toulouse are just under an hour away with Ryanair being a good value option into Carcassonne!

The motorway system has an exit right at Mazeres which makes driving simple. From either Toulouse or Carcassonne you can join the A61 then take the A66 spur sign posted Foix/Andorra. Mazeres is well signposted!
