Ecological Self Catering House in Beaujolais

Welcome to Les Buis du Chardonnet in the heart of the Pierres Dorées (Golden Stone) region of the Beaujolais within easy reach of Lyon, the Monts du Beaujolais, the Val de Saône and Burgundy. Our house nestles within a small, peaceful hamlet on the heights of the village of Cogny.

Les Buis du Chardonnet offers a panorama of vine-covered hillsides, forests and rolling valleys, the colours ever-changing with the seasons.

At Les Buis du Chardonnet, situated near our organic vineyard, guests find a welcoming house, healthy and comfortable, newly built with environmentally-friendly materials. With the preservation of the planet in mind, we have chosen to construct our house, the gite and the guest rooms according to the "passivhaus" concept, thus limiting the impact of our habitation on the environment.

Holiday Accommodation at Les Buis du Chardonnet

In a quiet location with unbroken views of the surrounding vines, meadows and forests, the gîte can accommodate up to 8 people.

Accommodation is organised on two floors:

Ground Floor

Accessible to those with reduced mobility and comprises:

  • A large living room with lounge area, TV and DVD and internet connection.
  • A fitted kitchen, fully equipped to cook real French meals! (cooker with oven, fridge, dishwasher).
  • A bedroom organised with either twin beds or a double bed.
  • A bathroom with italian-style shower, WC and washing machine.

First Floor

  • Three bedrooms with either twin beds or double beds, depending on guests’ needs. Two of the rooms have a balcony and an internet connection.
  • A bathroom with bath.
  • Separate WC

About Cogny in Rhône, Rhone Alps

You will be in the vicinity of the Beaujolais Nizerand Morgon villages (such as Lacenas, Denicé, Montmelas, Rivolet and Saint Cyr le Chatoux), the villages of the Bois d’Oingt country and Villefranche sur Saône.

You will know all there is to know about Beaujolais wines after your visit to Les Buis du Chardonnet in the Pierres Dorées region of the Beaujolais.
