Le Tastevin is a separate part of the owners large house, set in a 4000m2 grassed garden with trees, among the  vines of Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux. The property is set in countryside surroundings offering peace and tranquillity.

There is a 1.2 metre deep saltwater swimming pool available for guests to use and cool down on a hot summers day.

Our guests since 2003 have left glowing comments in the Gîte's Guest Book which confirm the lengths that we go to in making your holiday a success. Over 90 happy holidaymakers!

Returning guests qualify for a 10% loyalty discount.

We are sorry but in the interest of Health And Safety we cannot accommodate babies children or pets.  Le Tastevin is a No Smoking gîte

About St Androny in Gironde, Aquitaine

Five miles north of the old Citadel Port of Blaye on the Gironde, well placed for wine sampling, photography, walking, cycling, exploring the Bordeaux region, star gazing or just being lazy!

It is a peaceful, quiet and secluded place surrounded by vineyards. The gîte faces South and so gets sun all day long.

How To Get To St Androny in Gironde, South West France

We include detailed directions showing how to find us in the 'Information Book' that we send to all our guests 8 weeks before they arrive.

If you are flying then the airports at Bordeaux, La Rochelle and Bergerac are all within a 1½ drive.

The nearest ferry port is Caen at 325 miles and Calais, which can be reached in about 8 hours, is 540 miles.

Le Tastevin is also equipped with gas and smoke alarms, electric insect repellers, a complete set of cooking condiments, hand soap, shower gel and a picnic cold box and plastic picnic set.

With every booking we send our guests a  31 page information book 8 weeks before their arrival to allow them to plan their stay in Le Tastevin before they arrive.

Since 2003, Le Tastevin has had an annual risk assessment carried out, a copy of which is included in the Information Booklet so our guests can be reassured that they will spend a safe time with us.
