Comfortable Villa in the Foothills of the Pyrenées

This comfortable three bedroom villa, sleeps 6. It enjoys a secluded south facing garden, with fantastic views. A price reduction is available for couples.

The property is conveniently located close to the village, which has a swimming pool (summer only), river, tennis court and a cycle track on GR 7 route. There is a skiing resort within 45 minutes drive of the villa, offering plenty of mountain activities. A lake is within walking distance offering swimming as well as other activities. There are many pleasant good value restaurants.

Holiday Accommodation at La Coume 2

The villa is a modern, well insulated property, making it suitable for winter and summer use. All the bedrooms have free standing wardrobes and lots of drawer space. The living/dining room has wooden beams, with views out over the garden. Accommodation comprises:

• Living/dining room: large dining table, full range of oak furniture, two leather sofas, Sky T.V English programs, DVD, CD Player, wooden beams and wood burner.
• 3 Bedrooms: 1 king size bed, 1 double bed, 2 single beds. Travel cot available. All rooms have wardrobes and drawers.
• Family bathroom, shower and bath, toilet, twin wash basins.
• A separate toilet
• Kitchen: range of floor and wall units, oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge and freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, coffee machine, table and chairs. 

The house has full central heating. Winter use only at an extra cost. Wood burning stove available year round.

Outside

There are two south facing sitting areas and barbecue. Large secluded garden (1700m2) with flowers, trees and shrubs. 2 sets of garden furniture.

About La Bastide Sur L Hers in Ariège, Midi Pyrenees

The house is situated above the village of La Bastide sur L'Hers with lovely views all round. In the village there is a bar, restaurant, butchers and hairdressers, in addition to other shops.

Swimming pool in July and August, tennis court, river fishing (trout in season). There are several supermarkets within a short drive.

Lots of walks start in the village. The house is on the GR7 long distance footpath. There is a cycle route within a few yards of the property. Cycles can be hired locally. The route is around 35 km long.

There are several Ski resorts near Mont d'Olmes is within a short drive (nice whole family ski resort) and Axe les Thermes is an hour away.

Lac de Montbel is within walking distance.There is a beach where you can swim, sail, hire pedal boats etc.
There are many good restaurants in the area. Wine tasting is a short distance away.

The medieval city of Mirepoix is 15km away and its Monday market is a must see.
The large Walled Cathar city of Carcassonne is 50 minutes away. Other places of interest are well known in the Cathar history, Montsegur, Roquefixade, Puivert, Foix and Lagarde.

There are several caves and a prehistoric park in the area with a history dating back thousands of years.

You will be made very welcome in this fantastic area of France. The Ariège is the least populated area of France and has some of the best mountain places to visit. The Pyrenées are fantastic all year round. Once you have visited them you will want to return again to take in the peace and atmosphere of area.

Local Flights to Carcassonne and Toulouse airport with Ryan air, Easy jet, KLM. from the UK. Belgium and Holland.

Car Hire available from both airports. Owner could collect, contact direct for details.

From Calais by car is a good days drive, with stops. There are many Ferry Ports available.
