Comfortable Family Home with Garden & Pool in Quiet Picturesque Village

This lovely property has been furnished and equipped to offer families or friends the opportunity to visit a beautiful part of this quiet region. The house is comfortable for 6 and well equipped for all your holiday needs. It has enclosed gardens offering security to families and a lovely pool to enjoy the Southern France sunshine.

The village of Le Vivier is a great place from which to explore this region knowing that at the end of a busy day you can return home to relax in peace and quiet.

Holiday Accommodation at Maison Blanche

This beautiful 3 double bedroomed house stands in a very quiet position in the village of Le Vivier. To the front of the house is a private covered court yard which leads into the cellar below the house and has a washing machine, small fridge and chest freezer. The old stone steps lead upto the main house and to the front south facing terrace which looks over to the little church.

The house has electric radiators throughout the house as well as the 2 log burners in the living room and dining area. It has been furnished to a high standard and offers lovely accommodation in the beautiful area.  

Entry into the house is via the main door leading into the large open plan kitchen/diner.

  • The fully equipped kitchen has a 5 ring gas cooker with oven, fridge/freezer, dish washer, central work station and ample crockery and cutlery for your cooking needs.
  • The dining area adjoins the kitchen with a large table for 8 people. The 2 windows look south over the village.
  • The large living room has 2 very comfortable sofas seating 6, large coffee table, flat screen television with English tv, there is also a wood burner.
  • The second living room leads off the main living room and has large windows and patio doors looking out over the church and village, there are 2 more comfortable sofas. The side door entrance leads down some steps onto the

Upstairs there are:

  • 2 double bedrooms with original beams which are low. 1 bedroom has a small double wardrobe and both bedrooms have a chest of drawers, bedside tables and lamps.
  • A bathroom with wc.
  • The luxury master bedroom is huge and has a walk-in closet, king size bed, chest of drawers and an en-suite shower room/wc.

Outside

From the first floor you access the garden to the rear of the house. The mature garden has some lovely shady areas to escape the heat of the sun in the shape of the cherry, almond and plum trees. The pool has a salt water system and is cleaned weekly during the summer months, there is also an alarm when the pool is not in use. The garden is fully walled and gated so children should be safe.

About Le Vivier in Pyrénées-Orientales, Languedoc Roussillon

Le Vivier is set in the Fenouilledes region of the Pyrenees-Orientales. It is a stunning area with the sort of scenery you never tire of. The mountains, the colours, the flora and fauna are superb. The Fenouilledes are in the Agly valley which is home to a huge wine growing area, many of the villages have wine "caves" where you are welcome to go tasting. The nearest Auberge is in the next village of Saint Martin de Fenouilledes, where you will find good traditional cuisine prepared and usually served by the host. There are many other restaurants in the area from the rustic the the high quality food of the "Maison de Terroir" in Maury which has a michelin star.

The larger village of Caudies de Fenouilledes is under 15 minutes drive, hear you have a boulangerie, butchers, Vival mini market, chemist, doctors, bar which serves food and a restaurant which has a large choice of menu. Saint Paul de Fenouillet is slightly further on and has 2 banks, fuel station, bars, restaurants and a large Carrefour supermarket.

The market town of Quillan is a 35 minute drive and has 2 open air markets per week. Esperaza is a further 10 minutes and has a lovely Sunday market where you really can buy all sorts of goodies. 

The next village of Fosse has a lovely open-air pool during July and August and is open 6 afternoons per week, is free of charge and is served by a lifeguard.

How To Get To Le Vivier in Pyrénées-Orientales, South of France and the Riviera

Le Vivier is approx 50 minutes from Perpignan airport and 1 hr 20 from Carcassonne airport, Girona is approx 2 hrs and Barcelona 3hrs.

Additional price information

For all confirmed bookings taken, a 25% non refundable deposit must be paid. The balance must be paid 6 weeks in advance of your arrival. In the unfortunate event of you needing to cancel your holiday, we will not be able to refund your payment unless we can re-let your holiday dates. Holiday insurance cover should be taken to cover any cancellations.

Payments can be made in euros or sterling by bank transfers.
