This Maison Bourgeoise built in 1830, is set in over 6 acres of gardens and woodland, and being built on the side of a valley it is slightly elevated and commands panoramic views of the Limousin countryside. To say the setting is idyllic does not do it justice. Here you are a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of 21st century life but unbelievably the nearest village, Bussiere-Poitevine is situated just 2 km away. Ideal for a candlelit evening dining alfresco, on the terrace garden, overlooking the river and rolling meadows late into the night, recharging the batteries.

Having 5 large bedrooms, spacious living areas and 3 bathrooms, this house accommodates 10 guests in comfort. A cot and a high chair are available at no extra charge!

There are 5 large bedrooms, large living/reception room with exposed beams and an impressive stone fireplace with wood burning stove, large vaulted ceiling kitchen with gallery, 2nd small living room, 2 bathrooms, 1 shower room, 1 separate toilet and 1 outside toilet. All connected by spacious hall, large landings and beautiful oak staircase.

Accommodation is arranged as follows:

Ground Floor

• Large tiled entrance hall
• Large living/dining room. (46 Sqm ) A comfortable, French styled living room with ample seating and dining table with chairs. Wood burning stove in original stone fireplace and original beams. TV, DVD and CD player.
• Second small living room. (8 Sqm)
• Large kitchen/dining room. (30 Sqm) (leading to terrace), containing modern 7 burner range style gas/electric cooker, sink unit, dish washer, fridge/freezer, microwave.
• Utility room with washing machine and storage.
• Separate downstairs toilet.

First Floor

• Bedroom 1 - (23 sqm) with double bed 
• Bedroom 2 - (23 sqm) with double and single bed 
• Bedroom 3 - (10sqm) with single bed. 
• Bathroom - bath with shower, wash basin and toilet
• Shower room - with large shower cubicle, basin and toilet.

About Bussiere Poitevine in Haute-Vienne, Limousin

Le Moulin du Queyroux is located in the idyllic Limousin countryside. This beautiful house is situated in a small hamlet surrounded by rolling countryside of fields and woodland.

The local village of Bussiere-Poitevine is situated just 2 kms away, where you will find two small supermarkets, a bakery, butcher, pharmacy, bars and a restaurant.

The town of Le Dorat is 13 kms away. This is a magnificent medieval walled town that has a larger supermarket, various other shops, bars, restaurants and even a small cinema.

There is an adventure centre about 10kms away where you can join in the canoeing, rock climbing, horse riding and walking. Lac Saint Pardoux is only 45 minutes away. There are many attractions in the area some shown in the list below. The Dordogne Valley and spectacular town of Rocamadour are less than 2.5 hours drive away.

The medieval cities of Limoges and Poitiers are both a 45 minute drive away. Both cities have airports supported by Ryanair and Limoges also famous for its porcelain.

The nearest golf course at Mortmarte is about 20 minutes away and 4 further golf courses within a 45/60 minute drive.

How To Get To Bussiere Poitevine in Haute-Vienne, Central France

Le Moulin du Queyroux is just off the N147 about 45 minutes from both Poitiers and Limoges, the two major towns in the area both with airports serviced by flights Ryanair from the UK. It is about 40 kms from exit 23 on the A20 motorway and a similar distance form the A10.

The journey from Caen, St Malo takes around 5 to 6 hours and about 7 to 8 hours from Calais.
