About Saulgond in Charente, Poitou Charentes

La Vieille Ferme is situated in the north of the Charente, one hours drive from Angoulême and its walled city, 1h15 from Cognac. The pretty towns of Confolens and Chabanais both on the river Vienne are 12km. The property is surrounded by beautiful countryside and forest walkways ideal for walking or mountain bike riding.

There are weekly markets in the towns of Chabanais and St Junien either only 12km.

How To Get To Saulgond in Charente, South West France

From north Limoges D2000 direction airport (Bellegarde), Poitiers & Angouleme continue on D2000 past airport approx. 12km. Then take N121 direction Angouleme.

Continue for approx 30km passing St. Junien on the by-pass. Keep heading for Angouleme, approx. 2km after the end of the dual carriageway at the village of Etagnac you will see a roundabout, take first exit off sp. Confolens. 200m after take right sp. Saulgond. Continue into to Saulgond, approx. 6km. At T junction turn right into village, at church turn immediately right direction Briguieil. Approx 1.5km take 2^nd left sp. Beneteix.

From Confolens, take the Limoges road for approx. 12km. After passing through Chabrac, approx. 3km you will arrive at crossroads (La Coissant). Take left sp. To Saulgond, in village at church turn immediately right direction Briguieil. Approx 1.5km take 2^nd left sp. Beneteix
