Charming Farmhouse in Gascony Countryside Offering B&B with Pool

Peace and tranquility in SW France. Drive up the lane and you will find this charming farmhouse, on the brow of the hill, in the most northern part of the Hautes-Pyrénées, surrounded by vineyards and farmland with magnificent views south towards the Pyrénées and east across the valley.

A gorgeous garden to relax in enjoying fabulous views and the 12 metre swimming pool is available for guest use during their stay.

Sitting by the pool with a glass in hand at the end of the day as the sun goes down is very special and nothing will disturb your sleep at night but the hooting of owls and croaking of tree frogs.

Bed & Breakfast Accommodation at Quartier Bidos Room 1

This charming farmhouse sits in 3/4 acre of garden, on the brow of a hill with magnificent views South towards the Pyrénées and East across the valley.

The ground floor of this spacious house is open plan, including a dining area with huge "Cinderella" type fireplace, comfy armchairs and a bookcase stuffed with good reads for guest use during their stay.  There is also a drawer full of board games should guests be in the mood.  The living room is around the corner.  It has been adapted from the original "chai" (wine store), a barn which is now part and parcel of the house. It has high vaulted ceilings and ancient wooden beams.  There are large french windows that look across the garden and beyond the pool towards the mountains.

This double bedroom for guests enjoys views across the garden and has an adjoining private bathroom.

A continental breakfast of fresh fruit and yoghurt, bread and croissants - from the local baker - with home made jams and marmalade, fruit juice, coffeee/tea is served on the terrace under the pergola. 

Should guests want lunch and/or dinner, we will be happy to provide these (with a little warning) at an additional €15 per person for lunch €25 per person for dinner, including wine.

About Crouseilles in Hautes-Pyrénées, Midi Pyrenees

The house is on the edge of a hamlet, Quartier Bidos, in the most northern part of the Hautes-Pyrénées.  The village of Madiran, which is at the centre of SW France's wine making region (famous for its full-bodied wines made from the Tannat grape) is 3km away.

The coast and Biarritz are about 2 hours drive and the gorgeous town of San Sebastian with its gourmet restaurants and fabulous shopping only 2+ hours drive. If walking in the mountains is your thing, the Pyrénées can be easily reached - about an hour's drive.

This is a peaceful, beautiful spot but you don't have to go far to find things to do and there are plenty of local restaurants to try, markets where you can buy local produce and vineyards for tastings.

How To Get To Crouseilles in Hautes-Pyrénées, South West France

Pau Airport, served by CityJet from London City Airport is about 50 minutes drive; Tarbes/Lourdes served by Ryanair about 45 minutes drive; Biarritz, also served by Ryanair, a good 2+ hours drive; Toulouse served by BA and EasyJet, also 2+ hours drive. 

If you prefer to travel by train, the TGV from Paris, Montparnasse takes about 3 hours to get to Bordeaux where you change for the local train to Mont de Marsan. There you can hire a car and be at the house in 45 minutes.
