PERFECT! We had the most wonderfully relaxing holiday at this charming cottage. The location is breathtaking, with stunning views over fields and wooded hillside which are a delight for nature lovers. It is an easy drive from Limoges airport but a world away from city life.
The gite itself is small but well equipped and ideal for 2. It was comfortable and spotlessly clean. The bathroom benefits from a spacious and effective shower with lots of hot water and the kitchen has everything you need. A real bonus is the private patio /sun terrace and the small swimming pool (shared with the owners who live in the adjacent property. There are lots of interesting and picturesque towns and villages to explore in the vicinity, but in truth it was difficult to tear ourselves away from the pretty garden where we were able to completely unwind. There are many lovely walks to take from the property which is in a truly quiet and peaceful location. If you want lots of lively bars and restaurants, this place is not for you!
The owners live in a converted barn nearby and were very friendly and helpful. They provided lots of helpful information from the moment of our first phone call and Jane was very efficient and businesslike. She offered to get in a supply of groceries to tide us over the first 24 hours which was very helpful whilst we got our bearings and helped us out when we ran out of milk.
In summary we will be recommending this peaceful place to our friends and will definitely be going back.

I first stayed in the gite a few years ago after helping family move into their property in Provence following the death of my wife, and wanted a complete change of scene. I had heard of this gite through friends and was fortunate to find it was available for the period I required.
What a find, and what an area. For those wanting peace and tranquillity there can be no better location and the owners make you feel so welcome, so much so that I wanted my friend Julie to experience the same pleasure that I had in both area and gite.
Returning by road to the UK from Spain in March I took a chance and rang the owners and enquired whether the gite was available for just a few days. Fortunately the cottage was free so off we headed to be greeted most warmly by Jane and Dave. But, since my earlier visit the cottage had undergone a major transformation with an upgraded shower, new curtains, fresh bedding and most important of all a completely new kitchen area. The fridge contained all the basics needed until a visit could be made to the nearest supermarket.
Jane and Dave are a mine of information about the area and were able to answer all our questions about places to visit and where to shop. Suffice to say Julie and I enjoyed our brief stay so much we hope to be back later in the year other commitments allowing.

Le Petite Maison is situated in beautiful surroundings. The photographs do not do it justice. The cottage was extremely clean and tidy and had everything we could ask for.
It is surrounded by stunning scenery and is ideal for a relaxing holiday. The cottage is located in a peaceful rural area and provides the best of both worlds as there are towns, markets and places of interest to visit within reasonable travelling distance.
Jane and Dave the owners are lovely and made us feel at home from day one. They advised us on the local area and places of interest to visit. Jane had very kindly done some shopping for us and having arrived late it was lovely to be able to have a good shower and be sat with a nice drink within half an hour of arriving.
Everything about the holiday was great, the cottage, the location and the owners. The only problem was the time went too quickly before having to return home.
We'll strongly recommend La Petite Maison to all of our family and friends and definitely be making a 2nd, 3rd .... visit

We had a fantastic 10 day stay in Jane and Dave's cottage. This pretty stone cottage has everything you need in it from comfy reading chairs, excellent cooking facilities to a strong and hot shower. Outside there is a barbecue, an above ground pool (for those 40 degree days that we had!) and a seating area to overlook the lovely garden. The greatest thing about it by far is the view from the garden across an open expanse of fields onto woodland. The sunsets and sunrises (when we were up in time) were beautiful reds and blues and we just couldn't get over the feeling of space and openness. We spent time walking and cycling around the area and each village is a new picturesque experience with Chateaux and farm houses galore. We spent plenty of time coming up with plans of what we could do with this or that barn if we could move out there.
Jane and Dave were truly great hosts, making sure we had what we needed without being intrusive. We had a really perfect holiday a world away from work and every day routine of hectic life in London.
