Le Soler is so central to most things you will find it hard not to explore the region. Close to the Villa there are excellent fishing lakes and great walks. Perpignan, a short drive away is a vibrant city with great shops and restaurants. Spain is only a 30 minute drive and the skiing resorts are an hours drive away.

The Pyrénées-Orientales department is part of the Languedoc Roussillon region of France. The area is renowned for its unspoilt natural beauty and superb climate.

Within this beautiful region not only will you find the famous sandy beaches of the Mediterranean, but also the stunning mountain ranges of the Pyrenees, rich in Cathar history with numerous first class ski resorts to boot. If this doesn’t wet your appetite then perhaps a lunch in one of the many medieval villages located in the area would appeal, or a visit to one of the many beautiful world class vineyards. That’s before we mention the wide variety of arts, culture and history born and inspired by the region.

It sleeps up to 12 people and accommodation comprises:

• 4 double bedrooms, all have a balcony overlooking the pool & garden.
• Two twin bedrooms
• A large open plan dining area with kitchen leading out onto the terrace and pool area. 
• A snug area with sky TV and open fire.
• Upstairs mezzanine area with top terrace and views of Mount Canigou.
• Two main bathrooms
• Separate toilet in the sleeping area
• The utility room has washing machine, dryer & iron plus bathroom with shower and WC.
• A large games room located by the pool, with sun loungers provided.

About Le Soler in Pyrénées-Orientales, Languedoc Roussillon

Le Soler is a small Catalan town, with tennis and basketball courts, fishing lake, parks, small observatory and popular cafes. Just a short 20 minutes drive to the east you can find yourself facing the blue Mediterranean Sea and miles of sandy beaches at Canet-Plage.

The property is located just five miles from Perpignan city centre, twelve miles from the beach and an hour's drive from the nearest ski slopes. Quiet and peaceful yet only a half hour drive into Spain, the villa is in walking distance to all amenities, including the local market (three times a week), restaurants and all essential services such as post office, banks, newsagents.

Le Soler makes for the ideal location - with regular flights coming in to nearby Perpignan from London Stansted, Birmingham, Manchester, Southampton, and Paris airports. Just 6km from Le Soler is the university city of Perpignan, capital of the Pyrenees Orientales department, and the last French city before the Spanish border - and an hour's motorway drive to Barcelona (soon to be linked by high speed trains in under 45 minutes).

How To Get To Le Soler in Pyrénées-Orientales, South of France and the Riviera

There are flights to Perpignan and Girona Airport with discount carriers such as Ryanair from many UK airports. Perpignan can also be reached via Carcassone, Toulouse and Montpellier airports.

Car hire companies such as Europcar, Hertz, and Budget operate out of all of these airports.

From the airport follow the Perpignan Centre signs then take the A9 Prades road, at the main roundabout take the exit to Prades/andorra, the next exit is for Le Soler. From the main motorway A9 follow the 'Perpignan Sud' exit  which is about 1 ½ hours drive from both Toulouse and Barcelona airports.
