At Lieu Dit Le Bourg, guests will find a village haven that is the oldest property in the village, dating back to the 12th Century. The property has been lovingly bought to life to cater for all year round family vacations and romantic, stylish short stays. Ideal for couples, friends or families.

In the winter, guests will find a warm, cosy ambience with a roaring open fire in one of the main living areas and plenty of room for indoor dining, entertainment and relaxation. In the summer months, the house, with its thick stone walls remains cool whilst outside there are several beautiful areas for eating, playing and enjoying the abundant sunshine. From the courtyard with direct access to the kitchen and ‘Club Room’ at the back of the house; to the private garden idyll beyond, which hosts a pool terrace and wisteria shaded pergola, guests will discover a secluded haven for a tranquil and relaxing stay.

Holiday Accommodation at Lieu Dit Le Bourg

Lieu Dit Le Bourg is a two story medieval home with private gardens and a swimming pool accommodating six people very comfortably. The sleeping accommodation can be organised to cater for up to ten people including children, subject to prior agreement with the owners.

The home comprises:

• Three bedrooms on the first floor, with main access to the sleeping quarters from the hall but also additional interior private stair access at the back of the property to:
• The master suite creating a convenient circular flow.
• The main hall at the entrance of the house serves as a large interior Dining Hall if required. There is a:
• Drawing Room with open fire (wood burner) directly off the main hall.
• A further living room at the back of the house (the ‘Club Room’) which gives directly on to the courtyard.
• A spacious country kitchen with bistro style seating for 6.
• Three bathrooms (two en suite)
• Laundry room

There is an option to use the Club Room living area downstairs at the back of the house as a bedroom with a WC and shower room facilities within immediate reach, creating room for the additional sleeping accommodation. Additional beds are available subject to needs, potentially raising the number of guests to ten.

Courtyard, pool terrace, covered terrace and BBQ area and grounds laid to lawn for games.

Lieu Dit Le Bourg is a home from home, situated in the beautiful hilltop village of Saussignac in South West France, a place surrounded by vineyards and a few short kilometres from the southerly banks of the Dordogne River.

Saussignac is a pretty and quintessentially French village that benefits from the tranquility of its location on the raised slopes of the Dordogne valley surrounded by some of the finest vineyards in the Bergerac and Bordeaux wine regions. The area boasts stunning views and exquisite countryside and has immediate access to local facilities just a few paces from the house such as a quaint bar/restaurant (Le Lion d’Or), a small village store that sells fresh bread and pastries, newspapers, cigarettes and sweets, a variety of artisanal wine producers that sell directly from their Chateaux, tennis and basketball courts and a local post office.

How To Get To Gageac Et Rouillac in Dordogne, South West France

Only 15 minutes south west of Bergerac Airport (note that there are no planes flying over the property) Lieu Dit Le Bourg is quickly and easily accessible from the UK and other international destinations.  Ryanair flies direct to Bergerac from a number of UK airports including Stanstead, Bristol and Luton.  Flybe flies direct to Bergerac from Southampton and Gatwick Airports. British Airways and Air France flights are also available to Bordeaux Airport which is approximately 1 hour 30 minutes by car or 55 minutes to Gardonne by rail. Gardonne is situated 4 km north of Saussignac on the banks of the River Dordogne.
