Attractive Spacious Stone Longere and Cottage

Les Moineaux is an attractive stone longere situated in a small rural hamlet and near to a working farm. There is off road parking and natural garden areas. The hamlet of Treveran is 1km from the historic town of Josselin in the Morbihan region of France. Josselin is famous for its magnificent castle and medieval architecture.

The property consists of a longere and cottage in an L shape set in its own grounds of approx 1 acre. The property is south facing and has ample parking at the front of the house. There is a patio and large natural garden with grassed area  to the rear.

The longere sleeps from two to eight adults. There are four bedrooms, two doubles and two large family rooms, with three of the bedrooms ensuite. The downstairs of the longere has been thoughtfully renovated to cater for people with mobility problems and has a bedroom with a roomy level access shower.  There are extra beds and travel cots for smaller children. An ideal property for both couples and larger family groups in a tranquil but not isolated location. The prices shown are based on two people staying at the property for 1 week. There is an added charge for each extra adult and child. Children under two are free of charge. It is possible to ammend numbers to make it easier and flexible to book a family group. There is wireless internet connection at the property.

The Cottage sleeps 4 and has two bedrooms. There is off road parking and a garden sitting/barabecue area. The cottage is an ideal peaceful and comfortable base for guests who wish to be out and about exploring the region.

The downstairs has been renovated to cater for a party member with mobility problems.

  • Bathroom - with bath and shower

Bedrooms 1 and 3 are large and may include an extra bed or cot on request to make a family room.

About Josselin in Morbihan, Brittany

Josselin is an histotical town of character situated on the Nantes Brest Canal. From this central location it is possible to enjoy the varied attractions the region has to offer. Josselin is famous for its magnificant chateau situated by the canal and beautiful town centre with medieval 17th century timber framed buildings. The Saturday morning market brings the otherwise sleepy town to life and there are many open air cafes and restaurants. A climb up the bell tower of the Basilica will afford you a view of the whole town and surrounding area. Situated inland in the Morbihan region where the roads are quiet for exploring the countryside and neighbouring towns but still within easy reach of Carnac and Quiberron for fantastic beaches.

Ploermel and Pontivy also have interesting attractions and a great variety of shops. Lac au Duc is a large lake with man made beaches,water activities, walks and also a golf course. Vannes is about a forty minute drive away with its beautiful port and ancient walled city. From Vannes there are ferries and pleasure cruises to visit the islands.

There are two put up beds also available, one of which is only suitable for a child. There are also three travel cots and baby linen available. There is a fixed stairgate at the top of the stairs and a movable one at the bottom. There are baby high chairs that can be strapped to a normal chair and a baby bath. The downstairs has level access throughout with extra wide doors for wheelchair access. The downstairs bedroom has a level access shower and a manual shower chair.

  • All prices are per week and include electricity, linen, towels (not beach), gas and logs and internet access.
  • The price per week is based on two people using the property and the tariff is increased on a per person basis.

  • The longere is also ideal for a couple who may need level access and only wish to occupy the downstairs.
  • During the winter months a supply of logs are included and extra are available to purchase if required.
