The house is peacefully set in a large well maintained garden bordering a mountain stream with view of the Mountain, La Rhune and close to many amenities.

This is a great holiday centre for those who just want to lie on sandy beaches, eat the fine local food in the numerous restaurants or just visit some of the many beautiful places but also for the more energetic with renown hikes, surfing and spectacular scenery.

The house is maintained and equipped to a very high standard.

Ground Floor

• Ulility room, equipped with  washing machine, tumble dryer,  iron and ironing board.

First Floor

• Hallway
• Double doors leading into the large lounge. The lounge/dining room has a light and spacious feel with its high cathedral roof. The solid oak table seats 8 with comfort. There is also a log fire and comfortable settees. . Large flat-faced TV with english satellite TV channels. Video & DVD players. Door leading to balcony, Doors leading to Kitchen, and terrace.
• Well-equipped kitchen with Belfast sink. Door to terrace.
• Large terrace. This south-facing terrace has views over the mountains and stream. This is ideal for evening drinks and dining and is equipped with a large table and chairs. Stairs from the terrace lead down to the garden. A child gate is fitted.
• Large bathroom (Bath/shower, double sinks, bidet)
• Separate WC
• Master Bedroom with 5 ft. Double Bed

Second Floor

Open tread stairs lead from the lounge to the upper floor gallery.

• Gallery has a seating area. Set around the gallery are:
• Bedroom 2 with two single beds.
• Bedroom 3 with two single beds.
• Wardrobes in all bedrooms.
• Bathroom with bath/shower, sink, bidet, WC.

An Additional Bedroom (with double bed) is available at £140 per week. If  required, please contach owner.

There are a number of English videos and a large selection of novels on the bookcases. The stairs are fitted with child gates, top and bottom. For babies, a travel cot, highchair and basic pushchair are available. The house is equipped with smoke detectors. Dogs with well behaved owners welcome.- Please ask?

On the ground floor there is a self-contained apartment , with seperate entrance, used by the owners.

Outside

Large garden with mountain stream. The garden is very well maintained with abundant flowers, lawns and many mature oaks. There is a cool restful area along the riverbank with chairs and lighting. There are baby trout in the stream. Many species of birds, butterflies and moths are seen in the garden (including the humming bird hawk moth).

There is also an attrative stone built coverd barbecue with large seating area.

About the location

The house is nestled in a valley in the small hamlet of Olhette. Leclerc is our nearest hypermarket (about 3 miles) with Caffefour and Intermarche easily accessible. In the pretty village of Ascain (2 miles) there are several boulangeries, restaurants and the usual local shops. Fresh bread can also be delivered daily to the house.

The town of Saint Jean de Luz is approximately 4 miles away. Saint Jean de Luz is recognized as one of the most picturesque fishing ports on the Atlantic coast. It is well known for its choice of many good restaurants, cafes, shopping and excelent beaches. Fish is landed daily at the port.

How to get here

Air - There is a modern airport at Biarritz (20 miles) with an excellent service by Ryan Air to London Stanstead. Car hire from all the leading companies at airport.

Road/Ferry - The house is in easy reach from all the major ports by autoroutes and dual carriageways.

Additional price information

• Booking are normally Saturday to Saturday but mid week bookings and additional days considered. Please check with owner.
• Arrival at 4pm departure at 10am.
• Bed Linen and house towels are included in the price.
• Heating is included during the winter.
• Easter, Christmas and New Year by quotation.
• A 5% discount will be given for booking of three weeks or over.
• A deposit of 25% is required on booking with the remainder to be received 6 weeks before departure together with a returnable damage deposit of £200 that will be returned on or at the latest one week after departure.
• Smoking is not allowed on the premises.
• An Additional doublebedroom is available at £140 per week. Please check with owner.
