The cottages, all south facing are located in 10 acres of splendid countryside,   surrounded by lawns, gardens, terraces full of pot plants, woods and strawberry fields. The magnificent 15m x 6m swimming pool has a huge terrace with pool house, solar heated Jacuzzi, toilet, changing room, bar with fridge and stone built barbecue. Michael the English owner, offers you a warm welcome - 2010 will be the owners' 27th season in France.

Each cottage has its own secluded and covered outside dining area with its own stone built barbecue. Electricity, cooking gas, hot water and DVD player is included in the price of each cottage. Final cleaning and linen re also included free of charge. Two cots are available free.
 
For large parties, it is possible to rent two or more cottages, each family retaining its own privacy when they need it, much better than cramming 2 or 3 families into one large dwelling.

The Byre (sleeps 6/7) - Built in 1996 in stone to match the other cottages.

  • Third bedroom on an enclosed mezzanine floor with 2 single beds. Either of the single bedroom will take another bed.
  • Kitchen/diner has an American fridge/freezer and dishwasher.
  • Covered outside dining area with its own stone built barbecue.
  • This cottage has plenty of velux windows giving it a very bright and airy atmosphere

    • About the location

    Monflanquin, a pretty and hugely popular medieval village (pop 2500) is 7kms away and has all amenities.

    How to get here

    Air 

    Dantou is 40 mins drive from Bergerac airport and midway between Toulouse and Bordeaux International airports, both being about 120 kms or about 2 hours or less by car.

    Road 

    The journey from Calais takes about 10 hours drive plus stops. Please ask if you need help with the route. In any case instructions on how to find us will be supplied.
