Villa Camélia, Honfleur-Large Villa with Pool Overlooking the Seine Estuary
Villa Camélia is an elegant "Maison de Maître" (master's house), a five minute walk from the old port in one direction, and a ten minute walk from the beach in the other, and overlooks the estuary of the River Seine. It is a large and spacious house, able to sleep comfortably 20 people.
The property has several terraces overlooking the Seine with a view of the Normandy bridge, with sun loungers, dining table for 14, additional table for 8 + benches, gas and charcoal barbecues. There is a small pool on one of the terraces - 3m x 4.5 m, 1 m. deep, with a powerful wave effect for swimming or massage.
The picturesque 17th century town of Honfleur is the eighth most visited site in France, coming behind St. Tropez. Thousands of visitors are attracted every year by the Old Port, surrounded by tall, narrow houses, St. Catherine’s church, one of the few remaining buildings in France made of wood, and the quaint roads with over 100 art galleries and craft shops and almost as many restaurants, . There is also the modern fishing port with its fleet of boats which leave the port every night, as well as flowered parks and walks along the water front.

The Third Floor Apartment comprises:
- Lounge with a comfortable "clic-clac" sleeper couch for two, and dining table for 6/8, television, video/DVD and music centre.
- Two double bedrooms, one with double bed, and one with two singles or can be used as one king-size bed.
- Modern kitchen with standard oven plus a microwave/convector oven, 4 electric hotplates, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher.
- Large modern bathroom with double washbasins, bath, separate shower, and WC.
- Laundry room with washing machine and ironing facilities available on first floor;
- Additional shower and WC also available on first floor.
Possibility to use swimming pool and terrace.
About Honfleur in Calvados, Normandy
From Honfleur you can visit the Normandy World War II D-day beaches and the war cemeteries, plus the many war museums in the area including the museum at Caen. There are lots of châteaux and monuments nearby in the area, including the basilica at Lisieux. In summer the area is alive with outdoor shows, antique markets and special events.
Honfleur is well-known for its flowers and parks, regularly winning prizes as a "flowered town". The beach at Honfleur is very non-commercial and looks out over Le Havre on the other side of the river Seine. It is a very safe sandy beach, has a lifeguard and a paddling pool and play facilities for children.
All along this coast the sandy beaches are very safe, the water being shallow for a long distance out. There are yacht marinas and also casinos at both Trouville and Deauville where shows and dinner dances are held regularly. Several horse riding centres are nearby, as well as golf courses and horse racing events take place regularly in Deauville. From Honfleur it is possible to make a day trip to:
- The D-Day beaches of the Second World War, and the American, British and German war cemetaries, in particular the war cemetary at Omaha Beach with 3,000 graves of American soldiers. Also not to be missed, the town of Arromanches, with relics of Churchill's floating port build for the DD landings, its very interesting museum about the port, and the exclusive 360 degree cinema with war correspondents' films from that period
- Mont St. Michel, the most visited town in France
- Caen, and its war museum, plus the numerous war museums in the area ·
- Bayeaux, and its famous tapestries
- Rouen, large town of historical interest (Jeanne d'Arc)
- Lisieux, with its basilica dedicated to Ste Thérèse and home of the Carmel nuns
- Numerous châteaux and parks in the area
- Deauville and Trouville with their casinos and beaches and various annual events (American film festival at Deauville in September, plus many horse-racing/sales events)
- Giverny - house and gardens of the impressionist painter Monet, to visit en-route from Paris to Honfleur

Honfleur is 200 kilometres from Paris, a two-hour drive all on motorway. From Calais it is 280 kilometers, also all on motorway. International airport at Deauville.
