This typical Breton house is located in a prime location just 15 metres from one of the many fine, sandy beaches to be found at Locquirec. About 2km out of town, the house is well away from the main road, down a no-through lane.

Locquirec can be reached on foot via the seaside at low tide, otherwise it is no distance to the boulangerie and other shops. Also, it is not far to travel to reach the many other attractions to be found in the area. This is a comfortable family home in good decorative order, well furnished, affording splendid views across the bay.

The large sitting/dining room

Ground Floor

• Large sitting/dining room - a very light, airy room with views to 3 aspects. The lounge area, with a feature fireplace, is comfortably furnished. Through a large picture window there is a glorious view over the rear garden to the beach and bay. The dining area has a table and chairs to seat 8/10 people with views to the garden and bay
• Kitchen -well equipped with a cooker, hob, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, table and four chairs
• Bathroom - with bath, shower, hand-basin, and bidet
• Separate toilet
• Bedroom - with twin beds and views to rear garden and bay.

First Floor

• Four bedrooms - three with double beds and one with twin beds. All the double rooms have views to the bay.
• Bathroom - with bath, shower, hand-basin and bidet; separate toilet.
• Cellar
• Utility room - with washing machine, iron and board.

Garden

The garden, which surrounds the house, is laid mainly to grass with a few shrubs, and is enclosed by hedges with front and rear gates, making it a secure area for children. There are parking areas just inside the gates. The outside furniture comprises dining table, chairs, parasol, sun-loungers and barbecue. The rear gate from the garden leads to the beach.

About the location

Throughout the season a wide range of interests is catered for in Locquirec, whatever your age: "pardons" (religious festivals), the blessing of the sea ceremony, concerts in the church, exhibitions, rambles along the unspoiled coastline, Breton dance lessons and a beach club... but if it is peace and quiet your seeking, you are sure to find a spot on the beach or rocks where nothing will disturb you.

Here the sea is unpolluted with many places to fish, whether from a boat, the end of the jetty or in a river. If you have no success with your line, you can always buy direct from the local fishermen - lobster, shellfish, crab and a variety of fish. Even better, why not visit one of the restaurants, creperies or pizzerias in the town. The nautical activities are manifold and well organised including a first class sailing school and a diving club.

How to get here

Dinard airport (RyanAir from Stansted, car hire available) is also approx. a 2 hour drive. Brest airport (flybe from Exeter, Birmingham, Manchester & Southampton; Ryanair from Luton) is approx. 1 hr to Locquirec.
