Farmhouse and Cottage with pool set in the grounds of a Walnut Farm near Gourdon

We have two properties to offer, Soustre part of our old Lotoise farmhouse and La Petite Noix  our pretty detached cottage.  Both are set in the grounds of Les Fourches, our walnut farm which has 4 hectares of walnut trees and paddocks. Soustre has been converted from a barn attached to the original old farmhouse and La Petite Noix has been tastefully converted from an old walnut store. Both properties have their own private terrace, garden and shaded parking area.  The salt water swimming pool is in full sun all day and is surrounded by a large terrace with sunbeds and parasols, perfect for relaxing by.  We are only 3kms from the lovely medieval town of Gourdon. Mid week bookings and off-peak under- occupancy reductions possible - please contact us for details.

  • The spacious, comfortably furnished sitting room has English satellite tv, music centre, DVD player and woodburner and there are 2 double doors leading onto the terrace. 
  • There is a well equipped kitchen with gas cooker, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher and washing machine together with table to seat 6 people. 
  • The bathroom has bath with shower, washbasin and bidet and there is a separate toilet. 

Double doors to sitting room, kitchen and bedrooms open onto the private terrace and lawn areas where there is garden furniture and a barbeque.

About Gourdon in Lot, Midi Pyrenees

Les Fourches is situated 3 kms from Gourdon in the beautiful Lot/Dordogne region of South West France where the roads are a pleasure to drive along at any time of the year. Gourdon, capital of the Bouriane, is a small picturesque town with many fascinating side streets leading up to the church and the "Table d'Orientation" which has a stunning 360 degree view over the Bouriane countryside. It has a history dating back to medieval times and the Grottes de Cougnac has the oldest viewable prehistoric paintings dating back 25000 years.  On the circular route around the town you will find a variety of excellent restaurants and pavement cafe bars where you can sit and watch the world go by. There are also several supermarkets and boulangeries selling delicious pastries, breads and croissants. The Tuesday and Saturday markets sell local produce to sample amongst which is the famous Fois Gras. On the outskirts of the town there are 2 lakes in a beautiful setting.  One is for swimming and has a play area for children, the other is for fishing - visitor permits can be obtained in the town.

How To Get To Gourdon in Lot, South West France

We are only 20kms from the A20 Paris/Toulouse autoroute - full directions will be provided. Should you wish to travel by train, Gourdon is on the main Paris/Toulouse rail line. The airports of Bergerac and Toulouse are approximately 90 mins by car.

We have a 12m x 6m salt water swimming pool with diving area set among 4 hectares of walnut trees and paddocks.  It has a large sunbathing terrace with sunbeds and parasols and is in full sun all day. Both properties have their own private terrace and garden area with views over the orchard and parking for your car in the shade.
