Mas Jasmin may be let on its own or in partnership with Petit Jasmin. Petit Jasmin is never let on its own. Each of the four bedrooms of Mas Jasmin and Petit Jasmin are en-suite and are beautifully decorated in the colours of Provence.

Achieving the best of both worlds. Tradition, authenticity, brought up to date with the very best standards of comfort and taste. Situated in Old Provence, on the edge of both of the most famous southern regions, Provence and Languedoc Roussillon.

The Large Heated pool is for your exclusive use, why share. Heaven in August, away from the madding crowds.

The traditional farmhouse property was first constructed in mediaeval times in the local Provençal stone. It was originally used as a silkworm nursery, and has been carefully restored to bring it up to a very high standard of style and comfort, while retaining the character that comes from its long history. It is located on the edge of the countryside hamlet of Vendras, (an old roman name), in the commune of Lussan, near to Uzes.

The property is very private, is not overlooked, and has ample safe parking. It is within easy reach of the numerous attractions the region has to offer. The location is very tranquil, unspoiled, and most important no traffic noise. Yet only 5 mns for provisions. It is the perfect place to holiday, a tranquil haven to return home to after a hard days sightseeing. The only rush hour around, is when the sheep pass through in the morning on their way to graze, and back home in the evening. The bells, the bells.

The property is built around a central high walled Roman-style courtyard, with a restored gothic fountain. Colour exudes from its many terracotta plant pots and climbing rose and Jasmin bushes. The accommodation is set around this beautiful courtyard, which is the focal point of the property. The upper floor is devoted to living space. The rooms are spacious and airy, with high wood-beamed ceilings, and have been painted in the warm and friendly traditional colours of the region by a local artist. Large guilt mirrors adorn the walls. The large living area has plenty of comfortable seating, with a satellite TV, a VCR and a collection of videos, a stereo, and plenty of books. High speed internet connection for your personal lap top, note book computers.There is a dining area, and a fully equipped kitchen with high quality fittings including a gas range with gas oven, a microwave / grill, a dishwasher, a fridge-freezer, a washing machine, and plenty of china and utensils.

Double glass doors lead out onto the large balcony overlooking the courtyard, which is a delightful spot to sit and enjoy a glass of wine, or coffee and croissants at breakfast.

All four bedrooms have music facilities and ensuite bathrooms, with top quality fittings. Two of the bedrooms are in the main building, while two others are just across the inner courtyard. Perfect when you want to be together but not on top of each other.

The main building's twin bedroom has a curved ceiling with exposed wood beams, hand painted furniture, the ensuite bathroom has a shower, a washbasin and a WC. The double room has a domed ceiling. The bed and furniture are hand painted and decorated by a local artist. The bathroom features a large and deep cast-iron hand-painted bathtub, a large walk-in monsoon-type power shower, a hand basin and a WC.

Across the inner courtyard, one bedroom is at the base of the terracotta staircase, behind the gothic fountain. It has a king size bed, hand painted and decorated furniture, and a vaulted ceiling. The ensuite bathroom has a large bath with mixer shower taps, a hand basin and a wc. The largest bedroom, which also has a king-size bed, is at the top of the terracotta staircase. This bedroom has exposed stone walls and a high pointed ceiling lined with wooden beams. Its walls and furniture are painted in delicate blues and yellows, again by the local artist. Its bathroom has a large bath, and a large walk-in monsoon-type power shower, a hand basin, and a wc.

The property is equally comfortable during the winter, as there is underfloor heating beneath the terracotta tiles throughout the property.

All of the facilities are exclusively for the guests and are not shared with any other renters. We are on hand if needed. We invite guests on arrival day to share a glass or two of the local wine and sample a bite of the local food, and can supply info on what to see and where to go.

The extensive garden is totally enclosed and has plenty of trees, including olive trees, providing shade and privacy, plus an abundance of aromatic rosemary and lavender. The large heated pool (13 x 6.5 metres) is surrounded by a tiled sunbathing area, with sun loungers and cushions and protected from the accommodation area by a lavender-painted fence for safety.

There is an outdoor eating area, with table and chairs, and a large stone and brick barbecue.

Holiday Accommodation at Mas Jasmin Sleeps 4

Mas Jasmin can be rented alone without the two bedrooms of Petit Jasmin, and is suitable for smaller parties of 2 - 4 people. Subject to availabilty, it offers considerable savings to our normal rental prices.

It comprises of all the facilties already described, including the pool, barbecue and garden, but without the two extra bedrooms located in Petit Jasmin.

Anyone renting just Mas Jasmin can be assured that there is only ever one party renting at a time, large or small, so there is never sharing with other renters.

About Fons Sur Lussan in Provence Gard, Provence - Cote d'Azur

Located just to the north of the historical town of Uzes, the oldest duchy in France. The region has melon, lavender and sunflower fields. Close to the mountain Mont Bouquet, offering spectacular views of the surrounding countryside.

Just to mention a few of the regions many attractions:

  • The 2000 year old Pont du Gard Roman aqueduct is just 12 kms from Uzés.
  • The towns of Avignon and Nimes with their many attractions are not far away.
  • The Cevennes mountains lie to the North West with the town of Anduze and the steam train.
  • The Gorges de l'Ardeche with its canoeing and caves are close by.
  • The Mediterranean sea and towns like Aigues Mortes are an hours drive away.

Nearest Airport:
Nimes/Garons (1 hour) Ryan Air are currently flights from London Luton , Liverpool, East Midlands airports to Nimes/Garons. Also Brussels.

Nearest train station:
Avignon (1 hour) the TGV runs to Avignon from Paris or Lille. Eurostar direct from Waterloo to Avignon Saturday, during summer months.
