Luxury Ski and Summer Chalets at the foot of Mont Blanc

"Le Bothy", is a stunning, extremely comfortable new chalet, tastefully decorated in local style with all wooden interior in the charming and unspoiled ski and summer resort of Les Contamines, which nestles just below the Mont Blanc. The chalet is ideal for a family or two couples and is situated in the quiet and picturesque hamlet "La Chapelle" not far from the village centre.

  • South facing covered wooden terrace, with garden furniture, garden (swings, childrens playhouse, tree house, barbecue)

The owners

Sarah (English), Bruno (French) and their 2 little girls look forward to welcoming you to Les Contamines and "Le Bothy". We live next door and are on hand to help in any way. In winter we will happily reserve your ski lift passes, ski lessons etc. In summer we can help advise you on the multitude of walks and other local activities as well as restaurants and so on!

Holiday Accommodation at Le Bothy

First floor

  • Bedroom 1 - Double bed (160cm).
  • Bedroom 2 - 3 single beds.

Ground floor

  • Bathroom - Bath/shower, sink, w.c. washing machine, hair dryer.
  • Open plan kitchen - Fridge, full size oven (electic oven, 4 gas rings), microwave, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, coffee machine and all necessary utensils.
  • Dining area - Table and 6 chairs.
  • Living area - 2 comfy sofas, t.v/dvd, c.d/cassette/radio. i-pod docker

Provided - All bed linen (all beds have duvets), towels (big soft), bath mats, tea towels etc. Cot, highchair, 3 wheeler pushchair and toys etc on request.

The region

  • St Gervais (7km) - Attractive town with outdoor pool. From here take the Mont Blanc Tramway up to "Nid D'Aigle" for spectacular views.
  • Le Fayet (10km) - Le Fayet park with thermal springs, indoor pool, beauty treatments.
  • Bionnassay (10km) - Beautiful unspoilt village high above the valley, walk from here to foot of glacier.
  • Megeve (15km) - Chic resort with pretty pedestrian centre, designer shops and smart restaurants. (Eat at the famous "Fermes de Marie" or Marc Veyrats "Ferme de mon Pere" if you are not on a tight budget!).
  • Chamonix (35km) - Bustling ski and summer resort, surrounded by views of the glaciers, Mont Blanc etc. Take the "Montenvers" tramway up to the glacier or the "Aiguille du Midi" cable car up to 3800m for breathtaking views.
  • Courmayeur (50km) - in Italy via the Mont Blanc tunnel or further afield Aosta (80km).
  • Geneva (85km) - Grand lakeside city with many attractions, museums etc.
  • Annecy (90km) - An hours drive to this stunning lakeside town. Stroll through the old town with its canals, narrow alleys, cobbled streets and numerous cafes and restaurants. Water-sports or boat trips on the lake.
  • Yvoire (90km) - Lovely medieval lakeside village near Geneva.
  • Evian/Thonon (100km) - Grand towns on Lake Leman.

By Air - 90km from Geneva airport, bus/train transfers or car hire.

By Train - To St Gervais/Le Fayet (10 mins away).
