If you enjoy clean air, rushing rivers, soaring mountains, ancient trees or a long soak in a mountain pool, look no further. Here in this unspoiled authentic town and its surrounding areas you will find it all. You will find something different, whether it is skiing the last run of the day in time for tea, skating under the stars, enjoying the french markets and great shops, doing one of the many varied sports, sampling the local cuisine and gourmet foods or relaxing in a jacuzzi under the Aravis stars.

A warm winter and summer welcome can be expected at this beautiful, spacious, light filled chalet in the Haute Savoie Region of the idyllic French Alps. Whether a novice, intermediate or advanced skier, this range of mountains caters for all. Relax in a hot bath and wander onto Sophia's balcony and breath in the fresh evening air under the clear starry skies.

At the end of each day you will be delighted to return to Chalet Sophia. The ambience created here is the reality of your holiday dreams. It sleeps 12 comfortably (14 with two foldup beds). The Chalet is comfortably furnished and the accommodation is as follows:

Lower Floor

• Two twin bedrooms, one with bunk beds.
• Bathroom with WC, shower and bath.
• Cave (store room), with two large water tanks, electricity/heating panel, washing machine, garden furniture, chest freezer, high chair, iron and ironing board.

Ground Floor

• Twin bedroom.
• Bathroom, with shower and bath.
• Separate WC.
• Spacious kitchen with fridge/freezer, microwave, oven, hob, dishwasher and large kitchen table Hatch through to dining area
• Sitting room/dining room with open log fire, and French windows onto large L shaped balcony

Top Floor

• Three twin bedrooms.
• Shower room with WC.
• Mezzanine, overlooking sitting room.
• Small balcony, accessible from 3rd bedroom and mezzanine.
• A travel cot is in the wardrobe of the middle bedroom on this floor.

About the location

La Clusaz is a lively and bustling resort. During the WINTER months share a few apres-ski drinks and watch some ski videos at Le Pressoir. If you are still feeling energetic find L'Ecluse discotheque built across a floodlit stream. Alternatively visit the ever popular and friendly 'Salto' pub, where you could shoot some pool, watch Sky TV and discuss the days events over a few pints. If you want energetic fun filled evenings, the centre of La Clusaz is approimately 1km away. Alternatively just allow your mind and body to unwind by a log fire with your favourite book or soak in the outdoor jacuzzi under the stars.

Treat yourselves to an evening or two out, and sample the fine local cuisine. Perhaps a cheese fondue, made from one of the many local cheeses. Watch your steak sizzling on an open fire. Sit back with drink in hand and breath in the smell of the delicacy being prepared for you.

During the SUMMER months you will discover a vast array of cultural & sports activities to enjoy with total freedom & at your own pace.  Discover or re-discover a unique setting that is sure to satisfy your need to get away from it all in the open air! As for the cultural & leisure activities you have a cinema, a library, a bridge club, guided tours and the market.  

When the marmots wake up from hibernation, it's fun time for the children.  They'll find out that they can also use a sledge in the summer, that marmots whistle just like birds, that when you go climbing you're allowed to use hand-holds and that the dahu is not an animal you actually get to see very often.

Beautiful Annecy with its old town and refreshing lake togehter with the Aravis mountain range offer any family or individual all they could wish for.
