Gîtes on 18th Century Farm with Games Room

Le Quesnay is a 18th century farmhouse set within 4 acres of gardens and rolling Normandy countryside.

Our three gites are totally independent with their own private garden, patio and parking area. Each has its own distinctive character retaining original features of beams and stonework while having the benefit of all modern conveniences.

We are ideally siituated for exploring the Normandy Landing Beaches, Bayeux, Le Mont Saint Michel and this fascinating area of France. The peaceful location ensures our visitors an excellent base and a comfortable home from home.

A very light spacious gîte with high beamed ceilings, recently converted from a seventeenth century farmhouse outbuilding.

Downstairs

  • Large open-plan kitchen/dining area/lounge. There is an L shaped settee, original French dresser, table and chairs, coffee table, DVD and video player. Two chairs easily fold down into two comfortable single beds.
  • The kitchen is fully equipped with cooker, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, coffee-maker etc.

    Upstairs

  • Double bedroom is particularly spacious and airy with windows on two sides and a sitting area.
  • Bathroom has a bath, shower, toilet and wash-hand basin.
  • The whole gîte has been newly furnished and decorated and is centrally heated.

About St Clair Sur L Elle in Manche, Normandy

The nearest village, St-Clair-sur-Elle provides all the daily needs, having 2 boulangeries, a charcuterie, supermarket, post office, chemist and doctor's surgery, bar and restaurant. St-Lô is only 6 miles away, with a full range of shops, supermarkets, some excellent restaurants and a Saturday market.

Le Quesnay is within half an hour's drive of the Normandy landing beaches and the beautiful historic city of Bayeux. Le Mont Saint-Michel, the Suisse Normande and cliff walks in the Cotentin Peninsula are all within easy reach.

How To Get To St Clair Sur L Elle in Manche, North West France

Discount ferry crossing to Cherbourg and Caen available. (Le Quesnay is only one hour's drive from these ports).You can also travel from Dieppe and Le Havre or from the tunnel or Boulogne or Calais. The nearest airport is Dinard which is just over one and and half hours drive and from where you can hire a car.
 Flights to Dinard are from Stanstead and East Midlands airports
