Three character holiday homes with heated pool private terraces fully furnished including BBQ

This is a converted old French barn that still retains a lot of its unique features but with all modern amenities. Its elevated terrace gives complete privacy and a view over the estutary. Making it perfect for those lovely warm French nights while you sip wine and enjoy the perfect end to yet another sun drenched day.

Situated on the edge of the small French hamlet of Semoussac, 'Les Petits Coins' was originally a typical Charentaise village farm, surrounded by sunflowers, vineyards and beautiful, rolling countryside. It has now been lovingly restored and offers three separate holiday homes in a superb setting, each well equipped and comfortably furnished.

Each property has its own outdoor sitting area with table and chairs, parasols etc and use of a barbecue. They are all comfortably furnished and well equipped with modern appliances including full size cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, TV and dvd (with lots of dvds available to hire from our dvd library) etc. Bed linen is provided but you need to bring your own towels - or you can hire house towels.

Mary & Michael Noctor are on hand for any help or information you need.  As trained chefs, we provide a meal(s) on your arrival or at any time during your stay.  You can also avail of our one-to-one  cookery classes.  Please let us know in advance so we can arrange these classes to suit you or any of your groups requirements.   If you wish to avail of any of these services, please contact us and we will forward menus and charges.

The holiday homes are personally cared for and maintained to a high standard by the owners who are proud to say that they have received many heart warming compliments about the cottages and have had the pleasure of welcoming back many of their visitors time and time again.

Rochards is a traditional, mid-terrace, ground floor cottage with access to shared gardens and heated swimming pool. It has its own private terrace with barbecue area.

About Semoussac in Charente-Maritime, Poitou Charentes

Semoussac is in a very rural location, yet is only 5 minutes drive from the small, market town of Mirambeau, (restaurants, supermarket, chemist, baker etc.) and about half an hour from the seaside resort of Royan, with its golden, sandy beaches - an ideal situation!

  • Within  40 minutes of the  well-known cities - Bordeaux, Cognac, Royan and Saintes.
  • Street markets/night markets with entertainment.
  • Enjoy an excellent-value meal in one of the many local restaurants or let us cook for you
  • Simply relax by the 10 x 5 floodlit, salt water swimming pool (heated for early or late holidays), soaking up the warm sunshine and the tranquil atmosphere.

How To Get To Semoussac in Charente-Maritime, South West France

  • By ferry and road - The nearest ports are St.Malo (roughly 4 hours drive) , Caen (roughly 6 hours drive) or Roscoff (5 1/2 hours drive).
  • By air and hired car - Ryanair fly from Stansted to La Rochelle, Angouleme, Bergerac & Poitiers.  Also East Midlands and Leeds to Limoges.  Ryanair also fly from Dublin to La Rochelle and Edingburgh to Poitiers as well as many other options. Easy Jet & BA fly to Bordeaux. Other airlines flying into the area include Flybe & Jet2.
  • By rail and hired car - From Waterloo to Angouleme or Bordeaux (both about 1 hour’s drive away).

  • Daily, weekends and short stay prices on request
  • Dinner can be provided on arrival or at any time during your stay for an additional €15 per person.  Also children's meals are available at €7.50 (menus on request).
  •  A Continental Breakfast can be provided  which includes orange juice, bread, jam, croissant, choc au pain, tea or coffee at a charge of €6.50 per adult and orange juice, choc au pain, milk or hot chocolate at  €3.00 per child. 
  • We can also provide a packed hamper for lunch and picnics. 
  • A large selection of latest DVDs available.
  • Towels (excluding beach towels ) are available to hire at  €15 for 2 people per week.
  • A cot, highchair, booster chair, baby bath and most of your baby needs are available on request, subject to availability.
