Situated on the edge of the small French hamlet of Semoussac, 'Les Petits Coins' was originally a typical Charentaise village farm, surrounded by sunflowers, vineyards and beautiful, rolling countryside. It has now been lovingly restored and offers three separate holiday homes in a superb setting, each well equipped and comfortably furnished.

Semoussac is in a very rural location, yet is only 10 minutes drive from the small, market town of Mirambeau, (restaurants, supermarket, chemist, baker etc.) and about half an hour from the seaside resort of Royan, with its golden, sandy beaches - an ideal situation!

Each property has its own outdoor sitting area with table and chairs, parasols etc and use of a barbecue. They are all comfortably furnished and well equipped with modern appliances including full size cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, TV and dvd (with lots of dvds available to hire from our dvd library) etc. Bed linen is provided but you need to bring your own towels - or you can hire house towels.

Jane and Les Riddle will be on hand for any help or information you need during your stay. The holiday homes are personally cared for and maintained to a high standard by the owners who are proud to say that they have received many heart warming compliments about the cottages and have had the pleasure of welcoming back many of their visitors time and time again.

Rochards is a traditional, mid-terrace, ground floor cottage with access to shared gardens and heated swimming pool and own terrace with barbecue.

• En-suite shower room - large, with WC.

About the location

• Within easy reach of many well-known towns - Bordeaux, Cognac, Royan and Saintes.
• Street markets.
• Enjoy an excellent-value meal in one of the many local restaurants - €11(about £7) will buy you a good meal including wine.
• Or simply relax by the 10 x 5 floodlit, salt water swimming pool (heated for early or late holidays), soaking up the warm sunshine and the tranquil atmosphere - Paradise!

How to get here

• By ferry and road - The nearest ports are St.Malo (roughly 4 hours drive) or Caen (roughly 6 hours drive).
• By air and hired car - Ryanair fly from Stansted to La Rochelle (1 hours drive) and to Poitiers (2 hours drive). Other airlines fly to Bordeaux (1 hours drive).
• By rail and hired car - From Waterloo to Angouleme or Bordeaux (both about 1 hour’s drive away).
