In the privacy of one and a half acres of grass and woodland surroundings, La Cheneraie offers peace and tranquility, and yet is a short distance from local amenities and beaches of this well known Atlantic resort. Fouras is 5 minutes away from the dual carriageway between Rochefort (10 minutes away) and La Rochelle (20 minutes away).

Accommodation detail

• Kitchen - A new  spacious  kitchen  fully equipped with electric oven, gas cooker, large fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine/dryer, dishwasher. There are French windows leading directly onto a very large sunny back patio and french windows to the back cooler patio. 
• Sitting Room/Dining Room - Very spacious with double French windows looking out onto the front patio. There are 3 x 3 seater sofas, (1 is a double sofa bed), satellite TV, very large oak farmhouse table and benches, 2 French armoires.
• Bedroom 1 - has a double bed, king size duvet, wardrobe and chest of drawers. The room looks out onto the back garden.
• Bedroom 2 - has a double bed, king size duvet, large fitted wardrobe with drawers and hanging rail. The room has a pleasant view of the back garden.
• Bedroom 3 - has 2 sets of bunk beds, 4 single duvets, fitted wardrobe. This room has a view onto the side garden.
• Bedroom 4 - has 2 sets of bunk beds and cot, 4 single duvets, fitted wardrobe, and chest of drawers. The room has a lovely view onto the front patio/garden.
• Bathroom - bath with hand shower fitting, washbasin, shaver point, large fitted cupboard for toiletries.
• Shower room - large shower with washbasin.
• 2 Separate WC's.

The villa has sufficient crockery, glasses and cooking utensils for 12 people. There is also an iron, ironing board, pegs and folding clothes dryer/airer.

Garden

The front and back gardens are all private with lovely wooded area - a heaven for children. There are swings for children, and umbrella shaped washing line.

The back patio is ideal for outdoor eating. There are large tables, chairs, parasols, barbecue and sunbeds.

About the location

"La Cheneraie "is 1.5kms from the sea side. Situated  5mns drive from the main motorway to La Rochelle .The lovely seaside town of Fouras has an open dailyseafood market. There is a larger market (vegetables, cheese, meat and clothes) twice a week. You will find many shops, a very large selection of restaurants and all the facilities you require on offer in this seaside resort.

By Road - From any port in France, travel  west of France to La Rochelle or Rochefort. On the motorway from La Rochelle to Rochefort  take exit direction Fouras, St Laurent de la Prée

By Air - fly Ryan Air - regular cheap flights from Stansted to La Rochelle.
