Home description

The apartment is centrally located only 100m from the telecabin and sleeps 6/8 people. 

One of the reasons we bought this property was because of the excellent skiing complex, which ranges from slopes for beginners to complex slopes for advance skiers. The only indoor swimming pool in the village is within the building and is reached by the lift and the apartment is only 100 metres to the ski lifts. It has balcony views overlooking the skiing slopes, with large windows so you can see your friends and family skiing down the mountain and the clouds rising. Access is normally always available even in the heaviest of snowfalls with few lift queues, a good snow reliability record and also the chance to escape into a nature reserve with slopes virtually to yourself. La Grande Terche has good ski shops to help you hire the most appropriate equipment.

This spacious apartment is fully equipped with bedding, pots, pans and furniture, has a variety of local restaurants and bars within walking distance (so you do not have to travel for a night out). It is as enjoyable in the summer as it is in the winter. The owner hopes that you will come and enjoy the apartment, the skiing and the walking as they and many visitors before you have already done.

You will need to provide your own duvet covers, bottom sheets and towels.

About the location

A chart showing the snow reliability record is available having been extracted from comments in the visitors book which is in the apartment and from letters which have been sent to the owner after people have visited. They do not cover all the weeks which people have been in the apartment but are intended to give a rough guide to snow reliability. It would appear from this information that it has never been impossible to ski at La Grande Terche.

How to get here

La Grande Terche is approximately 1 hour's drive from Geneva airport. Once at Geneva you can take a taxi to the resort but hiring a car is much better value. Driving to La Grande Terche takes about 8 hours from Calais (by Channel Tunnel) and is Autoroute all the way except for the last 20 miles.
