The 'Port' holiday rental apartment, which sleeps 2 people, is bright and stylish and is positioned on the fifth floor of a charming 18th century Nicoise building in the most colourful and vibrant part of Nice. The apartment is extremely well-situated only 20 metres from one of Europe's most impressive squares -- the beautiful 18th century Place Garibaldi. The Old Town (Vieux Nice), the Marina (Port), beaches, Parc du Chateau, museums, galleries, the Antiques Quarter, the bus station, Place Massena with its grand fountains, the famous Promenade des Anglais, and hundreds of charming restaurants, shops and cafes are all within a couple minutes walk. The apartment is in the perfect position for you to enjoy Nice and the whole of the French Riviera.
You enter the building through tall double wrought-iron doors into a marbled floor hall and take the lift to the top (fifth) floor. The accommodation comprises entrance hall, shower room, lounge, kitchen with breakfast bar, double bed.
The appealing and bright living room has original oak beams and French windows giving you charming views of the Town and the mountains. There is a comfortable sofa, colour TV, stereo CD player/radio, and dining table. The large open-plan kitchen has a beautiful breakfast bar, and is fitted with cupboards, a cooker with four ring hob, microwave, electric kettle, coffee maker, and fridge/freezer. In the hall, there is extra storage space, with iron and ironing board. The shower room (hair dryer provided) also has a wash basin, vanity unit and toilet. There is a full-sized double bed, wardrobe hanging space, and extra storage on a second level reached by four steps. There are heating radiators in every room if you ever need them. The apartment has an entry phone system.
On arriving by plane at the airport of Nice-Cote d'Azur, you will see the breath-taking view of Nice's stunning setting, surrounded by hills and mountains, tucked into the Bay of Angels on the Mediterranean Sea. Graced with a year round gentle climate and beautiful sights, Nice boasts the highest number of museums in France, with the Marc Chagall National Biblical Message Museum, the Matisse Museum, the Anatole Jakovsky International Museum of Naïve Art, and the Asian Arts Museum ranked among the nation's finest.
Just minutes walk from the apartments, you will discover the Sardinian neighbourhoods in the port, the Victorian avenues of Cimiez, the breath-taking panorama at the top of Parc du Chateau, the picturesque streets of the Old Town, and the 'Promenade des Anglais'--the flower-filled boulevard which follows the curve of the seafront, with miles of attractive and comfortable well-kept public beaches. With Nice's famous carnival and flower parades in February, the Cannes Film Festival in May, the Monaco Grand Prix in June, the Nice Jazz Festival in July, and Christmas Village in December, Nice is a perfect destination year round.
From Nice, it's just a short coach or train ride to Monaco and Monte Carlo, Provence, the French Alps, the glassworks of Biot and Eze, the potteries in Vallauris, the perfumeries in Grasse, the cities of Cannes, Antibes, and Saint Tropez, and Italy. Ferries operate frequently to Corsica and to cities along the French Riviera.
