Ancient Burgundian Townhouse
Experience rural French village life in this refined, yet comfortable maison de village. Chosen as a featured home on the US television series, "Around the World in 80 Homes", La Treille was built in the 18th and 19th Centuries and it retains original features of interior stone walls and exposed massive wooden beams. Tall casement windows in each room flood the rooms with sunlight. The interplay of the sunlight with the light, warm colors used throughout the house create a relaxing and tranquil ambiance. The house is located in Ancy-le-Franc, listed as one of the most beautiful villages in Burgundy. The jewel of the town is the Chateau d'Ancy-le-Franc, a beautiful Renaissance chateau that is just steps away from the house.
Fronting on a quiet street in the heart of this thriving village, all essential services are conveniently located within a 2 block radius of the house, allowing you to simply cross the street or walk around the corner for your needs.
