Located at Pujols, a mediaeval village, 5 km south of Villeneuve-sur-Lot, Lot-et-Garonne in the region of Aquitaine. The refurbished (1999) Gite offers a relaxing holiday in the peaceful French countryside with the facilities of a town (supermarkets, shops, restaurants, etc.) only 10 minutes away. Pujols is one the "Les Plus Beaux Villages de France" with a history extending back many years.

The gite is set in two acres of private land, adjacent to the English owner's property and one hour thirty minutes from either Bordeaux or Toulouse airports. The on-site facilities include swimming pool, 10m x 5m with large patio area.

The Gite sleeps four people and has the following facilities.

• Double-bedded room on ground floor.
• Two single beds on mezzanine.
• Spacious shower room and w.c.
• Well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, hob, fridge-freezer and washing machine.
• Comfortable lounge/dining area with FTA SAT TV and hi-fi.
• Barbecue
• Private patio plus furniture.
• Bed linen is provided (not towels).
   

About the location

Pujols. The village has an attractive history and welcomes those who love country holidays. Of its past as a mediaeval stronghold, there remains a fortified gate, ramparts, a 14th century church and some fine old houses. In present day Pujols, culture and leisure go hand in hand with a sense of festivity and warm hospitality, for the pleasure of all. Restaurants include the La Toque Blanche**** cuisine gastronomique - see Michelin Guide. There are several other restaurants in the village offering a range of specialities.

There is a Sunday Market - held from 08.00 hours to 13.00 hours every week in the centre of the village offering a wide range of local produce and crafts.

Places of interest include Church Sainte-Foy which has Fresques of the 15th century. Picturesque views to paint and savour.
